Took the gondola to the summit. Unfortunately cloud covered so no views until return trip half way back. Imagine on a clear would magnificent.

Seems like a smaller resort but has lots to do during summer or winter. It was very quiet in the summer and provided some nice hiking trails.

The gondola ride up and down the mountain was terrific. The staff were very helpful - especially kind in giving the discount to 3 seniors who couldn't reserve in advance due a storm knocking out cell and wifi service at our b&b. The lunch at the top was surprisingly good. The hike up to the very top was too rocky for most of us but the views on a clear day from the lodge level were still unparalleled.

We had a large group that took the gondolas to the top, had lunch and drinks, and enjoyed the bar area and gorgeous view.
We ordered their famous bloody marys, flatbread, ahi tuna tacos and truffle fries. Everything was really delicious. The barmaid was overwhelmed but did pretty well with service. Great views once the clouds lifted.
Would love to go back again! Best prices are group prices or packages of 4. The Walk to the very top needs good sturdy shoes especially if the rocks are wet. We wanted to do it but did not have sturdy foot gear.

I have travelled to Killington on a number of occasions and have always found the resort to be superb. Even when at the height of season the resort does not feel busy due to the large ski area.
With large wide pistes and all being tree lined it gives a great feel.

There are plenty of mountain restaurants and the main resort station basis are a great size.

You will need a car when staying in Killington because all hotels and lodges are based on the mountain road up to the resort. It is more than possible to stay in Rutland and get into the resort.
