Been staying here every time we come up to VT for our annual snowboarding trip. It's always been our 2nd home( even before the renovation).
Brought a few friends that never been to Vermont, of course I chose to stay here, we stayed from Sunday to Thursday, upon arrival I immediately noticed the newly renovated lobby with the fire place still being there. We were group of 8, booked 2 rooms and got an upgrade to a family suite with connecting door to our 2nd room. After we settled in, we all ventured out to check out the new outdoor HOT TUB, let me tell you, this is the reason why I chose to stay here every season. They built a brand new HOT TUB with 2 fire place and a view of killington peak. After we soaked up our muscle, we noticed there were a new pool table and MEGA jenga ( we also got some free cookies), we spent a good hour there. After a night of good sleep, we fueled up with the complimentary breakfast, our crew loved the new addition waffle machine. We missed out on the movie room but took full advantage of the free wifi that wasn't there or non existed before the renovation as I can recall.
Highlights of our stay:
- HOTTUB
- HOTTUB
- HOTTUB
- Balcony with mountain view
- Pool table, mega jenga
- Waffle machine
- New beds
- Friendly staffs
- Free sticker
- 3 mins to K-1 base
- Close to food and market
- $5 off each day if you skip room service
Like I said, we stayed here every time we come up here and we will continue to do so as they exceeded my expectations.

After last year's trip we thought we would never go again. Then we heard about all the renovations and decided to give it another shot. We are definitely glad that we did so. The renovations were much needed and have gone a long way! Only gripe is that they shut down the pool area, a much missed perk. I heard that they do have an outdoor pool, but only for use in summer. Suggestion: make it heated in winter, etc.

Food gripe: Breakfast really needs to be revamped. It was pretty much the same stuff everyday for the 4 days that we stayed. Didn't even swap the sausage for bacon on any day. Only nice change was on Sunday we got waffles!

The staff is the best! On the last day we were there, I needed to get to the ski resort. Hubby was taking care of kids, etc and their shuttle buses had finished rounds for the day. Staff called several cab companies and we couldn't get anyone. They actually ended up driving me up to the slopes themselves! talk about above and beyond!

Rooms were clean, daily maid service, etc. only gripe is the wind/drift coming in from the windows.

I would say that the only thing that was good is a comfortable king size matters and pillows. sheets were clean, and smelled fresh. but this is where it ends. TV is small, crappy and blurry picture (not HD). Bathroom is so-so.. bathtub looked old and stained. carpet was cheap and so is the furniture. windows were making noise from the wind and you could feel the cold draft. Heater was VERY noisy and there was no way to control the room temperature.. the thermostat didn't have any indication what temperature it was set to. breakfast was horrible. tea/coffee was lukewarm. dining room was ugly with old ugly carpeting and smelled bad. haven't used the pool or Jacuzzi, but every night at 3am there were some teenagers drinking and being loud by the Jacuzzi, which is where my windows were facing. causing me to wake up in the middle of the night for two straight nights I was staying in. Overall, this is a 2-star hotel at best and doesn't warrant the price. however, it is very close to the mountain (although not a walking distance by any means). I am not sure I would stay here again. there are far better options, in my opinion.
