The Sterling Ridge is absolutely wonderful!! My husband and I went there for our 1 year wedding anniversary. We rented on of the studio cabins and got upgraded to a one bedroom deluxe cabin. That was a very nice surprise. The owners are very friendly and accomedating. Our cabin seemed very private. The bed was the most comfortable bed I ever slept in at a hotel. The local town is full of very friendly people as well. If you want some place to go to enjoy the company of the one you are with and maybe do some outdoors stuff like fishing or hiking, the Sterling Ridge is defeniatly the place to go!! Very afordable for what is included!

We stayed in cabin #17. The view of the pond and the grounds were amazing. The staff were very helpful finding us a place to eat. We spent one day just ejoying the cabin. One of the most stree free mini-vaations we have had.
We plan to come back again.

Stayed three nights with a April special, "Stay two nights get the third free." Outstanding value. Stayed in a studio cabin, which was impeccably clean, well furnished. The kitchen area was clean and stocked with pots, pans, cooking and eating utensils. Bed was comfortable. Gas fireplace was nice. Stayed in Cabin #10 which had a porch facing the woods, which we enjoyed. Very private, perfect for a romantic getaway.

Owners were not there but the staff was very friendly and helpful, including Max the golden retriever, who also made us feel welcome. Lovely well kept grounds.

The three nights for two special was an incredible value. Many times so much $$ is spent eating out but with the fully equipped kitchen we saved a lot and were able to eat at our own liesure.

Wish we could have stayed longer. Would recommend Sterling Ridge to anyone.

I can not say enough great things about these cabins! They are a perfect distance from town and slope. The cabin was in impeccable condition - extremely clean and comfortable. Each cabin is slightly off to itself but yet close enough to everything. We had friends stay in the cabin next to us and it was perfect. The grounds were well maintained with firewood outside all cabins. Customer service was top notch. You asked for it and you either got it or management did their best to find you a solution. They even offered us discounted tickets to the mountain. I would recommend this place to anyone and we are definitely going back!

My wife and I run a 14-room historic inn, so we are completely familiar with Trip Advisor and the importance of reviews. For that reason, we immediately set out to post a review about Sterling Ridge. Somewhat last minute, and using the Internet.....as people find us......we started with simply "Vermont cabins." We found some. And then after checking Trip Advisor, we passed. But when we found Sterling Ridge, and its virtually perfect reviews, we booked the 3-night Romance Package in a one-bedroom cabin. I cannot think of one thing I would have changed about the cabin, or our experience. Scott and Susan, the owners, seem to have thought of everything. We had a wood stove, a plenty-large Jacuzzi, and everything we needed in the kitchen. The Romance package included a basket of wine, cheese, chocolates, honey, crackers... So for three days, we relaxed, watched the Olympics (two televisions in the cabin), slept in.....just what we were looking for. Very isolated and private in the compound itself, but close enough to Smuggler's Notch, Stowe, and surrounding towns to find stores and restaurants. And imporantly....very clean. Thanks again.

My husband and I were looking for a perfect little getaway, and found exactly what we were looking for in the Sterling Ridge Inn and Log Cabins! We stayed for a week in a lovely cabin at Sterling Ridge, tucked into the woods with an extraordinary view of the pond and the countryside. With the recent snowfall, it looked like a painting by Currier and Ives! The cabin itself had plenty of space, but was still cozy and inviting with a gas fireplace and a cheery country decor. The Innkeepers could not have been more warm and welcoming.

There is so much to do on the property, you don't ever have to leave! (But you'll want to check out the charming little town and the great skiing at Smuggs.) We broke in our new cross country skis on the groomed trails right on the property, then made dinner in the cabin (the cabins have fully-equipped kitchens--VERY convenient) and finally headed to the lodge to soak in the hot tub. Heaven!

During our stay, we did quite a bit of downhill skiing at Smugglers Notch (just a stone's throw from Sterling Ridge Inn and very family-friendly), tried our hand at snow-shoeing on the cross country trails at Sterling Ride Inn and Log Cabins, and even rented sleds for a fantastic snowmobile tour!

I would whole-heartedly recommend the Sterling Ridge Inn and Log Cabins! We can't wait to return during the summer months to hike the trails that helped us to break in our cross country skis! We truly had the time of our lives.

We spent Christmas weekend in the pond house. It was warm and cozy with the fire going and the snow falling - a true winter wonderland. My brothers and parents had 2 cabins along with the pond house for the 'family' meals. The inn was accommodating for all of us with snowboarding passes at a discounted rate, snowmobiling for those that liked to sit and play in the snow or a warm cozy fire for those that like to sit and rest. The trails offered long walks for those that needed to walk off the holiday cookies. Everyone should be able to enjoy a snowy season here.
