I went to Jay Peak shortly after a snow storm and the slopes were amazing, this mountain is the best in Eastern North America! Plus, there's plenty of ways to save, Air Miles card gives you 35% off for example.

Hi there,
So it was my first time flying with Porter Airlines (out of Toronto) to Burlington, Vermont (only 1hr flight). And for what it's worth... make sure to take advantage of their 50% off sale, since the shuttle bus is costly ($144US/per person + 1.5hrs of driving from airport to resort), but very accommodating and friendly (Jeff and Tom rock!). The resort is quite pricey as well (over $200US per night)... but it is a new facility and it has a indoor waterpark... great for kids especially!

We scored with the skiing conditions!!!! Simply amazing runs during our 3 day stay! Lots of runs were open... if you're an expert, then you're in for some awesome mogul skiing, I haven't skied for awhile but i managed to go down on most of the hills!
Ski lifts are $129 for 2-day pass... I rented all ski gear for $70 for 2-day use. Make sure to wake up early and head on over to the rental shop to beat the traffic!

As for the service... lets just say, they were quick in fixing their mistake, and they were very complimentary at the end of our trip. Lets hope they learn something from this experience :)

Beer is cheap at the village... $3.5US... Interesting choices of Vermont's local micro-brewery beer! Food is roughly the same if you were to compare the prices to CDN menu rates. Overall, tasty dishes.

Night life seems to be a bit of bust, but they are working on it since it's a fairly new happening scene!

I would go again, but i wish the shuttle bus service was more convenient and cheaper!

Cheers, and see you on the slopes next year!

Nice Mountain, with a lot of difference slope, but the best of it was the glades, with more snow it could be perfect.

If you want reliable snow (for Northeast skiing) and amazing terrain for all ski abilities, go to Jay. They have the best variety of tree and glade skiing - from wide open to expert only. The staff is so friendly and unpretentious. We loved the quaint Stateside Lodge experience with the locals having their own ski lockers and met so many interesting people there. I hope that the planned construction for the Stateside Lodge area doesn't get rid of that warm & welcoming atmosphere. But, much of the recent construction at Jay has been good. The Pump House with the water park is amazing! Even though our kids are grown, we wanted to take them there. So, I trust that Jay Peak will keep true to it's Vermont roots and remain a wonderful place to ski & stay.

great if you want to dodge crowds...only die hards seem to ski here, lots of challenges for the advanced skiers or boarders
