“Wonderful Host and Very Pleasant Experience”
Reviewed August 6, 2012

I have been coming to Isle La Motte for many years in the summer, and it has been an absolute pleasure staying at The Old Schoolhouse. The proprietor, Carol, has turned this charming old schoolhouse into a cozy and accomodating B&B that retains some of the elements of the former schoolhouse (all of the blackboards are still intact) while updating every room with all the comforts you would expect. There are differing levels of accomodation depending on your needs. Whether you are biking through the area and need an affordable place to stay, or want a well-appointed private suite for an extended stay, the old schoolhouse has what you're looking for.

Most important, the proprietor/host, Carol, provides a welcoming atmosphere for guests and a wonderful experience that you would expect from a cozy B&B. Of course, there is a very nice breakfast in the vast kitchen/dining area where guests can mingle and socialize and get to know the owner.

The accomodations, atmosphere, and service are all splendid. I plan to come back every year!
