The Ferry Watch Inn is situated on a beautiful piece of property right on Lake Champlain. The backyard is facing the lake where my husband and I spent some time watching the sunsets. The lawn and grounds are beautifully groomed. The Innkeepers were very personable and friendly. The breakfast was adequate. The rooms in the Inn were sparkling clean and well-kept.
Some constructive criticism: The Innkeepers didn't give us a good tour of the place. The living room was very uninviting....the furniture was not comfortable and it didn't seem to be the type of place to put up your feet. There were no games or cards to use during our stay. We didn't find out until later that we could use the den, and we were never shown access to the back deck.
The room itself was very pretty, but there was way too much "stuff". Every surface was covered with dolls, stuffed animals, little tea sets, etc. and I felt guilty moving any of these things to put my stuff down. The bathroom was immaculate, but there was no place to hang wet towels and again, no clear surface to put down my things.
All in all, my husband and I had a very nice stay there. We enjoyed the grounds immensely and were pleased with the Inn and the Innkeepers.
