“Excellent breakfast. Waffles are the BEST!”
Reviewed May 29, 2013

From the outside, it looks like a regular ol' New England diner. But the food inside is anything but standard. Everything is very fresh and homemade. The waffles are fantastic - crispy and buttery. The breakfast burrito was delish-- custom designed by me and all the veggies were fresh. The homemade biscuits and fresh fruit cup and crispy homefries were all great. Service was outstanding. Coffee was great - and you could grab a cup to go when you headed out. The best thing was after 2 very robust breakfasts and coffee, the total bill was less than $20.

(this place is right next to the Whippie Dip.)

“A great alternative up north”
Reviewed May 11, 2013

Just finished having a delicious breakfast at the Whistlestop Cafe. Inviting, cute, great service. Breakfast food was delicious! Kudos to the sweet potato biscuits, "a must" to try. It's about 18 minutes up north of Hanover, NH on I-91, but well worth the short trip. The drive is beautiful and my guests and I really enjoyed the scenic drive north. We also noticed they have an intriguing bottled beer collection for dinner or lunch--no tap, but that's ok. It was a Saturday at around 11am and earlier guests were finishing up so no wait, but continuous customers coming in. Out back, they were barbecuing for their lunch and dinner menu, noticed brisket on their dinner menu, which is a good sign with other barbecue offerings (it was mid-May). Really enjoyed the atmosphere and food! If you are in the Hanover/Dartmouth area, a really great alternative to the weekend crowds around the college. Going to go back one day this summer for dinner.

“Yummy and fresh”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

A great little find with local, fresh foods and a wonderful eclectic menu. Everything is prepared to order and is simply wonderful. The coffees are great and treating yourself to a large Latte or cappuccino is encouraged. This is a must if you are in the upper valley area of vermont or new Hampshire. Check it out, you will not be disappointed.
