My husband and I went dog sledding on February 6, 2018. It was a fantastic experience. We were staying at the Village Green in Stowe. Eden Dog Sledding is about a 40 minute drive north, in the snow belt of Vermont. There was significantly more snow than in Stowe. The drive to the property was a blast. Definitely need 4 wheel drive in the winter. We got out of the car and immediately noticed pooches peeking at us from the upper deck, etc. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by at least a dozen lobby dogs. I was immediately in love and would have been happy to just hang out with the dogs. I was privileged to put the harnesses on most of the ten dogs that manned our end of the day sled ride on groomed trails through the woods. It was sunny and cold but GORGEOUS. Blankets were provided!! The dogs were amazing and it truly was an incredible experience. Afterwards, popcorn, hot chocolate and more dog time and treat giving. I am a huge dog lover and for me this was a once in a lifetime event that I will always remember. The owner, Jim Blair, is a very nice guy who loves what he does. I don't know the name of the other man but he is equally as crazy about the dogs. Be sure to grab the book Jim's sister, Deborah E. Blair, wrote, The Luna Tales and one of the awesome t-shirts. If you don't like the winter you can go in the Fall and take a ride with rollers on the sleds!! Highly recommended for everybody, especially dog lovers. Bucket list material for sure....

Wow. So much fun. Amazing friendly staff. Jim couldn't be more welcoming. The dogs are so sweet and cuddly. We spent a while getting to know all the dogs and hanging out in the main house. Jim tells us all about each one's personality and idiosyncrasies. There's 35 dogs here. Our family of 4 decided to do a split trip Beta tour. 1 adult and 3 kids went out for about 25 minutes and then the adult switched off. I was really perfect. The grounds are beautiful. Jim was fun and knowledgeable. Sledding was a ton of fun. It was all really a perfect experience and one that we will never forget. Worth every penny.

If you've ever wanted to experience the thrill of the Iditarod then Eden Dogsledding is the next best thing! We booked a sled ride with Jim, the owner, at the last minute, and he was extremely accommodating. We got to play with the 'unchained gang' of sweet dogs before and after our sled ride. Jim and Rodney have been in the dogsled racing 'business' for years and you immediately see the love they have for the sport and for their many dogs. We learned how to harness the dogs, hook them to the chain, and off we went through the snow covered mountain trails, covered in warm blankets. After our long run we helped feed treats and drinks to the dogs. Well worth the money!

You are welcomed to Eden Dogsledding as if you were home. Happy dogs run to your car, tails wagging, begging for a pet. Jim and his mushers love the dogs and want you to love the dogs as well. You really get to interact with the dogs and to learn how they are trained and cared for. The dogs cannot wait to run, howling with excitement, and the dogs who are left behind are whining because they want to go along. We had a long, beautiful ride through the forest. It was approaching dusk and the light was exquisite. The trail through the trees was in turns quiet, peaceful, fast and thrilling. The experience was unique, glorious, a true highlight made all the more special by the kind and gentle attitude of the owner, Jim, and his well trained and engaged employees.

This is a very unique and holistic experience. The setting is very nice. There was not much snow in Stowe but there was enough in Eden Mills. the ride there was very nice. when you get there the staff introduces you to the dogs. There are plenty of dogs. The retired ones stay in the barns and enjoy attention. The ones who run the sleds are in other pens. You actually learn about the harnessing and the hooking up of the dogs. You get to interact with the dogs as well. The dogs are surprisingly calm and friendly. They actually seem to enjoy pulling the sleds. The sleds are padded and they give you blankets. The trails were nice nice and pretty. The kids ages 17 and 12 really enjoyed the experience.
