Description: The Dorset Inn...always a treat! All of us here love food and enjoy sharing that with you. The warm and welcoming ambiance of the historic red dining room and cozy New England tavern allows guests to relax and enjoy the food, the wine and the friendly hospitality. As a member of Vermont Fresh Network, we support as many local farms and businesses as possible. Our cuisine is an uncomplicated, bistro-style that demonstrates classic culinary techniques and traditions with regional influences and reflects the freshest ingredients available. To showcase Vermont's four unique seasons, the menu changes frequently.

“we keep going back!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 4, 2008

we have been going to the Dorset Inn for over a decade and have loved each and every trip. We have seen all seasons, busy times and quiet times. Food is great - breakfast is wonderful and so filling. Our daughter has celiac disease and the staff is always helpful and very accomodating! We cannot say enough good things about the Inn.

“Wow! What a jewel!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2008

My family and I have stayed at the Dorset Inn several times through the years, and we always look forward to returning. It's like a home away from home, but better! The staff is friendly and courteous, going out of their way to make us feel welcome. The food is out of this world! I actually wake up in the morning excited to go to breakfast! Home made muffins, fluffy omelets and incredible waffles with warm maple syrup await us each morning. Dinners, I can't describe - they are so heavenly, you need to experience them yourself! You owe it to yourself to experience this little bit of heaven!

“Noisy and disappointing”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 21, 2006

Sadly not the peaceful getaway we had hoped for!. The hotel is literally on Route 30 even if the entrance is on Church Street so you will be counting cars not sheep as you try to go to sleep.

The rooms were small, dark and the bathrooms in need of a little touch up.

Save your money and stay in one of the inns off the main road rather than "on" the main road....
