“BED BUG ALERT!”
Reviewed December 16, 2013

Nothing to say other than: BED BUGS! 3 people got bitten all over their legs and arms....and here's a disgusting picture to prove it. Room 312..and whichever room they book for you, the problem is most probably everywhere. What a horrible experience. Happened yesterday, december 15th, 2013. Manager didn't look too concerned, even after seeing the 2 huge ones we put in a cup of water to show him. Didn't charge for the room. Thank you, you gross ignorants.

A typical Motel 6. it was easy to find off the highway and was located in an area near a Comfort Inn, McDonalds and Burger King. Breakfast is not included, although I wouldn't expect it to be at these rates. There were several gas outlets and a Costco nearby.
Everything seemed OK at check-in initially. However, when we returned after supper, our access cards wouldn't work. I was told at the front desk that the bank didn't approve my credit card. I remembered when I authorized the card that the amount was zero but the person at the front desk did not clue in. I had to use a different credit card. After a while he realized that it was likely the new person who had checked me in and they had made the mistake.
The room and bed were pretty basic but clean and comfortable. We had to ask for extra pillows. The washroom was nice and roomy. A large wardrobe, similar to that on a cruise ship, made for good use of space. TV was fine - 40" flatscreen with basic channels. It was a bit noisy - especially late in the evening and in the morning with the 6 a.m. crowd leaving. WIFI was available at extra charge.

Room Tip: Third floor rooms should be less noisy.

This hotel was in good shape with very nice laminate floors. Did not have shampoo in rooms but was sold thru a vending machine. Easy access to Interstate and Burlington.
Front desk staff were very courteous. Would definitely recomend if you are looking to save money.

There was absolutely nothing wrong with this "chainstore" motel. The room was a reasonable size, clean, quiet. The staff seemed a little hesitant, maybe a trainee. No breakfast but the Athens diner across the road was excellent (Macdonalds is also at hand for those who feel the need). Our main complaint was the distance from the centre of Burlington but you get what you pay for.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter

stayed here 2 nights earlier this week for touring Vermont and upper New York State, close to Canadian border. It was the cheapest room rate we could find $73 during autumn fall foliage peak time in the area.

No breakfast, wifi costs $3 per 24 hours. Bring your own shampoo/shower gel. soap is provided and lobby coffee only. towels are small, thin, not fluffy.

Our room (220) was clean, warm, basic with furnishings in excellent/new condition. Good nights sleep for a mid-week stay. Great value! staff were courteous.

Another plus was there was a laundromat facility in motel so could do a load of on the road washing very conveniently for $1.25. You can ask for free laundry powder at reception. Dryers also cost $1.25. Machines use quarters and prepaid cards.

The best motel 6 I've ever stayed at. For the location and price a good stop off point for visiting Ben & Jerry's factory in Waterbury, about 20 minute drive away.

Room Tip: Room 220 was good. Corner room around back where there was plenty of parking spaces. Furthest from l...

This was a very busy weekend in the Burlington area given Fall foliage and this was lodging as a last resort. I was pleasantly surprised by the place. Rooms were of good size, staff was friendly and I didn't get any of the worrisome complaints I heard in other reviews. My room was quiet with full cable TV and a comfortable bed. I would have had to have paid up to three times the amount and this place foot the bill. Just bring your own shampoo and you will be fine.

We stayed here for 2 nights this past weekend. The weather was gorgeous, Burlington has many things to do, places to see and great restaurants. We only were at the Motel to sleep, arriving around 11 or 12 at night and leaving around 8AM. It was our first time visiting family in the area so I wasn't looking to spend
I'll post the good first. The staff at the front desk are very nice. It seemed like a safe place. It was clean. The beds were not uncomfortable. The maid did a nice job making the bed and tiding the room and bathroom.
Now the bad. The place smells of bleach, the room, the sheets, the pillows, the hallways, nothing but bleach. I woke up with a rash on the side of my face the first morning which I blamed on the bleach. I borrowed a pillow case from the person I was visiting the next night. There was no hairdryer. Luckily it was warm out in late September. Bring a hair dryer if you go in the colder months.
They charge an extra $3 a day for wifi. Come on, it's just ridiculous to charge for wifi in this day and age.
The floors are a bouncy sort of laminate which was kind of weird but I understand they allow pets so I get that it's easier to clean up. It's a real bare bones place but it was cheaper by $40 per night than the Quality Inn next door.
I knew it wasn't going to be a fancy place but the industrial cleaner smell along with the sparse orange laminate rooms was just too much to bear. Unfortunately the prices for rooms around Burlington are very expensive. Next time we visit we will have to fork out the extra money, or drive a few more miles out of town to stay at a nicer place. It's just too utilitarian for me.
