“Another enjoyable trip”
Reviewed August 4, 2010

The checkin at the Hotel was excellent. The Staff was very pleasant and helpful. This was our tenth year at this hotel. Any problems were quickly addressed. The availability of washers/dryers was really convenient. The rooms were clean upon arrival and house keeping was very helpful.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review of your stay. As you are clearly a satisfied guest who returns year after year for the past 10 years - it is important that the rest of the traveling public can read about your honest assessment of this hotel.

Thank you again and I look forward to hosting you next summer!

I was in town on business for 3 days originally until it was extended to a 4th. Right off the bat the hotel is rundown as noticed merely from the outside and lobby. Half of the hotel seems to have been renovated at one point with the other half left with older fixtures. The staff was not very personable or knowledgeable, breakfast was continental style with a few waffle makers. Overall the food provided was low quality, the batter provided for the waffle makers left me with stomach pain. They had a juice dispenser that was obviously watered down with a small amount of actual juice in it.

My first room (3 days) faced the street and was very old and obviously was not cleaned very well as I found old dried food under the bed and debris and crumbs under the fridge and around other furniture. The noise from the street in the morning was also very loud. The bathroom was the only clean part of the entire room. The free wifi was almost impossible to stay connected to so I was unable to reliably access e-mail or other work related pages. To top it all off on a rainy day one of the windows began to leak profusely near the fridge and electrical outlets and when reported to the the staff they didn't seem to care and it had obviously been a problem for a while judging by water damage around the window.

I was forced to change rooms when I had to extend my stay 1 day and it was on the renovated side again facing the street. The room was visually nicer quality however it was about as clean as the previous room and this time it smelled like smoke (it was non-smoking) and I could not connect to wifi at all. Fortunately the bathroom again was the only clean area.

Overall the money saved by staying here is not worth the trouble, while it has a good central location in Burlington to the airport and city, other hotels aren't far and for a little extra you would probably have a much more comfortable stay. Business travelers especially should stay clear of this place. Everyone else should stay here only as a last resort.

I apologize that you had some difficulties while at my hotel. As we cater to several regular business guests on a weekly basis, I take your concerns very seriously. We have upgraded our internet service in order to ensure that all of our guests are able to work from their rooms. Often times individual firewalls block access to our unsecured network. However, whatever the case may be, I will address it immediately. My hope is that you will give the Award Winning Days Inn staff another chance.

I stayed here June 19-21 to attend a friends wedding in Burlington. The number one reason I choose this hotel was because it was cheap. Not a fancy hotel, but the rooms were clean, and the front desk staff were friendly.

Two bonuses...first a free continental breakfast in the morning complete with coffee, juice, cereal, muffins, fruit, etc. And you could make your own waffles. Second bonus, I had a king sized bed room with a balcony facing the parking lot. It had amazing views of this little river and bridge.

If I'm ever up in the Burlington area again, I would definitely go back there.

Recently remodeled, this days inn is inexpensive and the perfect location for a St. Mikes visit. Only 10 min. into Burlington town area. Very ecclectic mix in stores, arts and food. Right on Lake champlain too.
Nothing fancy - friendly and clean...pool too!

Your review is right on! A great location for St. Michaels students, families and friends as well as a great value for the price you pay. I hope to see you many more times over the next few years!

Hotel is clean enough, close to interstate and easy to get into Burlington and surrounding area. Decor/lobby is tired and needs a facelift.

This place is run-down, dark, strange. It works if you are looking for someplace cheap and conveniently located, but why not enjoy yourself for the night? Hard to do so here. The place is just aging and it not amazingly clean (a quality that can sort of make up for an aging hotel). Unless you must, must, must be across the street from St. Michael's College, there are so many other options...

Our experience at Days Inn, Colchester, VT was pleasant. The facilities were adequate, price was very reasonable but the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The service made our experience enjoyable. I would recommend staying at the Days Inn if you are in the area looking for an affordable place to stay.
