Cordial knowledgeable front desk personnel. Reasonable rates and above average continental breakfast. Room was clean, quiet and close enough to central Burlington and the waterfront.

We had difficulty finding an affordable room in Burlington but ended up being pleasantly surprised when we ended up at the Days Inn in Colchester. The hotel was a short car ride to downtown Burlington and had a solid continental breakfast. The desk staff was very pleasant. When we checked in, we were assigned to a room that I thought smelled like stale cigarette smoke. When I went downstairs to mention this because I was worried we would be charged for the damage if they thought it was us, the manager immediately accompanied me back to the room, agreed about the smell and upgraded us to a king-size jacuzzi suite with no extra charge.

Room Tip: I would recommend asking for a room on the side of the hotel away from the street - much better view...

This hotel was a welcome vidit especially after the stay in Carlisle Pa. The room was spacious so was the bathroom. King bed was great and so were the pillows. It was a handicapped accessible shower that was extra helpful due to my medical situation. It was quiet even though we were hy the stairs and close to the lobby, off the first floor. The lobby being off the parkway and in the back is because of the actual location of the building, get a grip people. The front desk clerk(sorry didnt get her name) was very outgoing. The hotel is close to UVM which was important to us. It was good to be back in Burlington(UVM 88). Breakfast was good and hit the spot.

Thank you for taking the time to share the experience you had while staying with us at The Days Inn Colchester! We are thrilled to see that you gave us 5 stars on all five categories: Value, Location, Rooms, Cleanliness, and Service! That is our goal with each and every one of our guests! In your comments you mentioned your breakfast was good and hit the spot, however, I noticed that your review title stated breakfast needs work? As part of the Days Inn chain, we are required to offer specific breakfast options. We know breakfast is important to our guests and we are currently participating in a new breakfast study with Days Inn Worldwide in hopes of gathering feedback regarding our current breakfast selection. If you haven't already, you should be receiving an e-mail asking for feedback on our complimentary continental breakfast. We appreciate your honesty as we would love to offer items that you would enjoy and that would help you start your day! We appreciate your business and hope to see you soon!

We had been looking for rooms in this area just for the Saturday night and had found most places to be fully booked, so we had given up and were just going to make it a day trip. At around 2pm on Saturday we received an email notification that rooms were available here. We called and booked and originally were quoted $134 for a queen room, but then we got the room for $107 as we were members of their rewards program. Staff very friendly, room a little smaller than average, buy very clean and comfortable and quiet. Very insistent on letting us know the penalty for smoking in the room and we had to sign a paper that said we agreed, I have no problem with this and wish more hotels would be as strong.

1.This hotel has 3 baby cribs and they cannot garantee that you will have yours: It's first come first served. (They don't 'book' the baby crib with your room.)
2.The hotel also has a weird split level which means that it's not completely stroller accessible.
3.The staff will promise to give you a discount but then that person won't be there the next day to actually give you your discount.
