I just got back from a great overnight get-away with my sweetheart and the Henry Farm Inn is a perfect choice for such an event. Upon arrival Paul and his wife Pat warmly welcomed us. The Inn is a cozy, rustic farmhouse with beautiful pumpkin pine floors and quaint country touches. We ventured into the small town of Chester (only a couple minutes away) and started by getting a bite to eat at the Moon Dog Cafe. The owners are very friendly and had just moved into a larger location. They have a great menu of organic foods and it served as a perfect mid afternoon meal. We continued our walk and stopped into the Reed Art gallery. There we met Elaine and Bob Reed who were exceptionally friendly and treated us like friends rather than customers. The gallery has great works of local art and jewelry. Bob even offered us to go into his shop and craft our own jewelry! It was starting to get late so we didn’t take him up on his offer but we are definitely coming back sometime soon to do so. Bob also recommended eating at the Old Farm Inn for Japanese cuisine. He even called over and made reservations for us! The meal at the Old Farm Inn was FANTASTIC! Honestly the best Japanese food I’ve ever had and perhaps the best meal I’ve ever had! After dinner we stopped by the Fullerton Inn for some live entertainment and a couple of drinks. The music was good and the crowd was friendly but it was a bit crowded so we didn’t stay long. In the morning we awoke to a top-notch wholsome breakfast and continued hospitality. The whole experience was wonderful and affordable…a perfect VT getaway!

My husband and I and our 9 year old daughter stayed in this Inn for two nights. We had a great time in this beautiful part of Vermont. We swam in the river across the street, visited the village and home of Calvin Coolidge (which we highly recommend) and went to the Billings Farm and Museum. This is a perfect spot to branch out and there's alot to do.

The Inn keepers were really the best. They make you feel like a long lost friend, yet they are very professional. I can't say enough about breakfast. It was as good as some of the really expensive Inns we have stayed at. You will not be disappointed in your breakfast! We were pleasantly stuffed.

We stayed in their suite which was cute. It had a room with a small kitchen, table and pull out couch. Our bedroom was a separate room. Tthe front rooms were really pretty on the second floor. It's located on a dirt road which is nice. At the end of the road is a huge working farm with lots of corn fields.

Their backyard is huge meadow. You can walk to the pond which is pretty.

We would recommend this Inn if you want to experience Vermont the way it should be. The Inn keepers will definitely make you feel welcome.
