The wood-burning fireplace in the exquisite library-salon is tended by the fantastic staff who serve excellent drinks before dinner.

Nice place, nice people, but we had two rooms and neither had a properly running heater. The maintenance young man came right away, but as he explained the units are touchy. The wall units, similar to what hotels have used for yrs. are obviously in need of being replaced. We had no heat, until he "reset" it, then a portable unit, and then when it finally worked it was way too hot. Lovely hot tub, pool isn't heated to a comfortable temp. for swimming. Check out some other hotels even if you have to drive 30 min.

The wine selection was great. Ordered the price fix and the crab and corn soup was fantastic, the crab appetizer was good. However, the main course was poor. The lamb was overcooked and tough. Impossible to cut. Mostly certainly not worth the price. Would not recommend

I've seen this hotel on many ski trips to Okemo, but honestly, I was not ready to pay the prices listed on the website. I found a great deal on Travel Zoo, and off we went!

We came into this gorgeous hotel with backpacks and ski jackets figuring they would frown on that, but it was just the opposite. We were told that the hotel was ours to explore, and to please make ourselves at home. The concierge made sure that we felt 100% comfortable in The Castle, and even escorted us to our room.

The hotel is really old, but very well kept. We didn't hear any of our neighbors, and the spa and pool area are incredible! I've stayed in some fancy hotels, but the experience of staying in The Castle is one I won't soon forget. Beautiful, well kept, and the staff was beyond friendly.

The dinner looked incredible, and before we left, we made a reservation to go back to stay next month with friends. This time we're making a dinner reservation!

Enjoy your stay in this historic mansion...

We stayed at the castle hill resort over the new years weekend in one of their 2 bedrooms condos. There were 3 couples in total, including us, and we had chosen this resort due to the proximity to okemo mountain, overall was a great experience. There are 2 bedrooms, the rooms are furnished very nicely and great for an overall lodge experience. The beds were comfy, bathrooms extremely clean and the kitchen was perfect for our cooking! since its a condo you have a full kitchen, dining table, etc so we cooked pretty muche very night! take advantage of this! the girls also used the spa, the aveda massages were great, the only con was that the house was a bit drafty but im assuming it was because of the 8 degree weather! we actually used the hot tub outside as it was snowing and it was amazing! overall great experience, would def stay there again. only con: check in area is for the pointe hotel and it really does look and smell like a motel =)

We stayed at the Castle Oct 21-23. It is exactly like getting to live in another time. Everything is period. You feel like you are touring a historical home, but you get to actually sit on the furniture and have cocktails before dinner in the library. The service is great. The restaurant is delicious; it is a wonderful escape. We also used the heated outdoor pool in late October--a great experience!

Be sure you know if you are staying in the Castle (ten room historical mansion) or the Pointe at the Castle (traditional ski motel). The experience will vary considerably.

My husband and I just came home to New Jersey after spending 2 days at the Castle Hill Resort. From the moment we pulled up to the Castle we knew we would love it. As you step through the front door you immediately see lots of fine wood carved walls, grandfather clocks, fireplace, step in further and venture into the Castle library adorned with tons of old old books that I was dying to take off the shelf and look through. The furniture in the library is spectacular. The dining area was elegant, clean... no stone left unturned. We stayed in the Castle Suite from what I understand, is the biggest room, it was certainly big...you enter into a sitting area with TV and magnificant windows, then you pass through the bathroom, not a modernized one by any means but that was the fun of it, the bear clawed tub and the chain you have to pull to flush...really neat! Then you enter into the main bedroom....so so charming, huge four poster canopied bed, linen was so nice crisp and clean...bed was very comfortable. The fireplace was set up with candles, would have been a treat if the fireplace was a working one...can't have everything. The furniture....draperies, light fixtures, everything was just right. We met Amy the 2nd day we were there, she's one of the concerige...she helped us plan our day of shopping and sightseeing, printed out stuff for us to help us along...she was really great and nice to talk with. Dinner in the fine dining restaurant was amazing, the chef should be commended and our server Shauna was wonderful. One of the highlights for me was breakfast time in the Castle restaurant, they put out a really great spread from fruit, to bagels and toast, to cereal, the chef's own mixture of granola (which I had both days) to waffles and eggs...I so looked forward to breakfast. We met Lisa the day we were leaving, she's also an employee there, she was very nice as well...the staff was great! I cannot say enough about Castle Hll, we would certainly go back....I miss it already! Thanks so much for an incredible experience.
