We were able to make a return visit to the Applewood Manor after 2 years, and it remains just as inviting as our previous visit. This B and B is clean and comfortable with a warm and "homey" feeling. The hosts make sure that everything you need is there and make you feel right at home from the minute you arrive. It was cold when we arrived and Nancy was quick to serve us some coffee and tea and cookies. The bedrooms (our family stayed in the Hannah and Noah rooms) are large and super clean. And the bathrooms are huge also, which is certainly not typical of B and B's. The breakfast is a relaxing sit down breakfast and, of course, quite delicious. Nancy helps with directions, suggestions for dinner, etc. FYI - The wine selection in the local general store is interesting. At Nancy's suggestion, we checked it out and we weren't disappointed. We look forward to returning again. If I were parent of a Castleton student, I would look no further than the Applewood Manor. You are extremely lucky to have this wonderful B and B so close to Castleton State.

This was our second stay at Applewood Manor Bed & Breakfast. As with our first visit, we loved it. The hospitality, rooms, and food were all exceptional. We look forward to going back again soon.

Applewood Manor is located in a beautiful area of Vermont. The manor itself is simply beautiful, the pictures on the website do not due to manor justice! Nancy the caretaker was amazing, she is very professional and makes you feel like your right at home at the same time. The room we stayed in was amazing, after driving 5 hours from Syracuse the bed was extremely comfortable and the room itself was huge. The manor is simply amazing, we definitely plan on visiting again and you will not find a better deal for such a nice place with people who are very welcoming!

My Girldriend and I were around 30 years younger than everyone else at this delightful B&B but were made to feel incredibly welcome. Travelling from thr UK it was a delight to meet Nancy and learn of her Scottish roots. Ralph cooks the best Eggs Benedict tasted in a long time and it is well worth the visit! They were full on our upward journey through Vermont but following three days driving up and back from Canada we deliberately headed back to stay here for our final night ion Vermont. Really pleased we did.

My husband and I have stayed at several bed and breakfasts, but none come close to the quality and beauty of the Applewood Manor Bed and Breakfast. We had our two very young children with us, and Ralph and Nancy made them feel welcome and special. The grounds are amazing, and each room--the bedrooms and common areas--is appointed beautifully. Our bedroom and bathroom were immaculate, and our bed was divinely comfortable. This is truly a special place, and we hope to return each summer.

We loved this place! I'd say it's one of the most beautifully appointed B&B's we've ever visited. Just gorgeously decorated. Antiques! The furnishings - every detail - perfect. We stayed in Noah's room - beautiful curtains, bed, furniture - everything just perfect.

Roger and Nancy are the best - super hosts. Fresh coffee and cookies when we arrived and help finding a restaurant. We had a lovely evening in the guest living room - met some very kind people and relaxed.

Delicious breakfast in the morning with our fellow guests, whom we enjoyed very much. Noon checkout, which we much appreciated as it was a rainy October day.

All in all a FANTASTIC stay - we'll definitely be back.

Nancy and Ralph could not have been more welcoming. They ensured our every need was met. Hot drinks on arrival, early morning and even when returning after a night out.
Everything was great...a quiet, clean comfortable and spacious room.
Varied and tasty breakfasts were artistically served with all dietary needs being accommodated.
We spent 4 glorious days at Applewood Manor and enjoyed every moment, and shall certainly return next time we are in Vermont.
