Had a fine brief stay at Applewood Manor. Nancy could not have been more helpful. I did not have a car. As promised, I could get a very dinner at very good independent restaurant that was an easy walk from the inn. Very comfortable bedroom, delicious breakfast. Nancy even drove me to the Castleton train station for my trip home.

We had a wonderful stay at Applewood Manor June 21 and 22, 2013. The inn is charming, the bed was wonderfully comfortable, the gardens were beautiful, and the breakfasts were delicious. Nancy was a delight to talk with and was the perfect hostess.

Stayed for three nights at this beautiful B&B in June during our three week visit to New England.Nancy and Ralph are great hosts and take and obvious pride in their wonderful home,it really is a lovely place to stay.It was nice to return in the late afternoon and sit by the pool, relax, read and simply just chill.Nancy brought a cooling drink as soon as we arrived back.It is so relaxing, peaceful and welcoming.
Our bedroom was simply beautilful, wonderfully furnished. The bed is huge and comfy, the bathroom is gorgeous and large. It is the ideal place to stay for the Rutland area,we were at Fort Ti in 45 minutes.
Ralph's breakfasts are freshly cooked and gorgeous,a perfect start to the day. Both Nancy and Ralph went above and beyond to provde a perfect service, whether it was helping with trips and eateries or providing us with camping chairs to go see the "concert on the green" on the Thursday evening. All in all a wonderful place to stay, has to be on your list if you are travelling from the UK or anywhere. Thanks to you both.

This is lovely B&B in a charming Vermont town. The owners, Nancy & Ralph, have paid a great deal of attention to every detail. We were there in July, when the flowers were blooming and the little pool was an ideal way to cool down in the late afternoon. The rooms are impecably furnished with antiques and beautiful linens. We slept very well and awoke to a delicious breakfast. Nancy & Ralph can tell you about things to do in the area (the Rodeo on Saturday night was fabulous) and will make you feel right at home. I can imagine that it would be equally wonderul in the winter.

Only stayed a night in Nancy and Ralph's beautiful home. Nancy was an excellent host, the room was large and the bathroom HUGE. Would definitely stay here if anywhere in the Rutland area, worth the short drive.

Room Tip: Noah's room was excellent.

This was not my first visit to Nancy and Ralph's beautiful B&B, but it was by far extra special. I needed some escape time, quiet surroundings, and space to refuel, and over the 3 days I was there I was given the time I needed to relax! The room was large enough for me stay all day if I choose. I had a strong WiFi connection for my writing needs, and the pool called my name on morning which was clean and well maintained. Nancy was very sensitive to my request for privacy, accommodating my breakfast needs by leaving some fresh fruit in the guest refrigerator down the hall, ready for when I wanted it! As usual, the sweet spirit that hovers over Applewood did it's job and I returned home refreshed and wanting a longer stay next time!

Applewood Manor is superb. The decor is immaculate. Beautifully decorated rooms and the sitting rooms are comfortable and very inviting. The ground are fabulous and extremely well taken care of.
Ralph and Nancy made us feel very welcome. They are so friendly and warm to all of their guests.
A very enjoyable experience and definately give the Manor and it's owners a high recommendation.

Room Tip: I would recommend Noah's Room. It is absolutely gorgeous.
