“Better than the Skinny Pancake”
Reviewed August 23, 2013

We diverged, the wife getting a sandwich/salad at Red Onion (excellent!) and me getting a special chicken/pesto crepe at Mr. Crepe. It was served in less than 10 minutes and was delicious, and of substantial size with a small salad (very fresh, tasty). Later had the opportunity to try Skinny Crepe downtown and at the airport. Nowhere near as good as Mr. Crepe. See my Skinny Pancake review for detail.

“was great at the time”
Reviewed August 7, 2013

One of us had a great meal, the other also had a great meal and then an hour later became very, very ill. She hadn't eaten anything else anywhere else for many hours. Behaved completely like food poisoning. Was it this place for sure? Who knows. Seems likely though. Too bad, as the rest was so good. We're not likely to take the chance and return.

“Beautiful Atmosphere, terrible service.”
Reviewed April 15, 2013

Yesterday, My mom and I were walking around Church St. in the rain, looking for a nice coffee shop. We spotted Mr. Crepe, it looked beautiful and everything on the menu at the door seemed amazing. We got to the counter to order.. and we waited.. and waited.. and waited.. finally someone came to the counter to tell us the cashier was in the bathroom (nice) and it would be a minute. When the cashier did come out to the counter it immediatly felt like we were an annoyance. No apology for the wait, nothing. This is how it went "Can we got 2 large coffees and 2 danishes".. " We don't have any danishes"... "Ok what do you have" This is when the girl points to the display that had one lonely muffin. "Thats it".. " Well what is it?" ...... "Its a MUFFIN".. Obviously its a muffin.. " What KIND of muffin." ..Maybe it was just an off day for them, but it didn't sit well. The restaurant itself is gorgeous, maybe the food is good, but the service was absolute CREPE!

“Delicious and tasty, but.”
Reviewed January 26, 2013

It was today,
Saturday morning and we were the only two in the place.
The crepes were warm and tasty.
We thoroughly enjoyed both of them.
We will definitely go back.

Three minor annoyances.

The cashier REFUSED to place a third crepe on our order.
(we wanted to share a sweet crepe after our savory crepes, we asked to pay for it with our original order and have it cooked when we were finished with the first two.)
He indicated "If we get busy, it will be confusing for us, sorry, no."
We were still the only two in the place when we left, and we didn't bother with the third.
So they lost that sale.

The latte and hot chocolate were made in cold cups, so by the time they were served, they were luke warm. Next time we'll ask that they warm the cups first.

Halfway through our meal, what appeared to be the manager arrived on site. I thought surely he will pop over and check on us. In that we were the only customers in the place. That way I could relate all this in person. Nope, he never looked our way, and concentrated on getting coffee for himself and supervising the other three employees while they refilled condiments.

Again, minor complaints, but over time they do add up.
