At Handy's, we make it our mission to not only fill you up with delicious food but to also make you part of our family...Sixty years strong and still growing! Food for thought (no pun intended),we were voted "Best Place to Meet a Stranger" by Seven Days.....So whether you choose to dine alone or with a group, we always have a seat waiting for you at Handy's. P.S. UVM also lists Handy's Lunch as one of their Top 25 Things to Do Before you Graduate...Not that we're saying you haven't graduated yet........Alums also welcome!

A great friendly diner-type place enjoyed (loved!) by locals and visitors fortunate to know of it and find it (on Maple and South Champlain Street corner). Open for breakfast and lunch. Hear sports jabber as you enjoy your McHandy!!

Many years ago we started coming to Burlington and spending a couple of fall nights. The next morning we asked a local delivery guy where to get a good "not" fancy breakfast and he sent us here. 7 years later we still go and have breakfast and even though we only go once a year this family run business recognizes and remembers us. We love it!

My son and I had a late Sunday breakfast at Handy's. It is a favorite breakfast and lunch spot for locals and students. Counter space only, and we had to wait for a while, but it was worth it. Good home cooking, everything is fresh and made to order. The owner does the cooking and the counter servers are friendly and prompt. They made a mistake on the cheese in my veggie omlette, and the owner caught it and came over to talk to me about it right away before I even noticed. It was so good I didn't ask for a new omlette. Fun, local experience. We will be visiting again!
