“Hip B&B”

We stayed in mid-October 2012 and had a wonderful time at Made Inn Vermont. We stayed in room 905 - we loved it, very comfortable and clean, with a stocked fridge of speciality snacks (maple beef jerky!) and assorted drinks. We reserved the bathroom with the claw-foot bath tub and it was terrific, wonderful lavender bath salts. Breakfasts were delicious. Linda and Jessica were great- anything we needed help with, we got. It was a very refreshing change from the more standard B&Bs in the area- MIV has its own unique character and vibe. And it is in a perfect location for walking into town for dinner- we never drove. Would definitely stay again!

We stayed at Made Inn Vermont for a weekend night away from Montreal with our 8 month old baby. The whole place was absolutely beautiful, including our room. Linda wanted to make sure we were comfortable, and we definitely were! Our room was stocked with drinks and snacks, as was the common area. We loved checking out the magazines, books and vintage games in the living room. The bed was so cozy and our baby slept for 12 hours straight! Breakfast was fantastic, with lots of fresh fruits, cheeses, pastries, coffee, juices, yummy crepes and more.
We can't wait to visit again!

We decided to tack a night at Made Inn Vermont onto the end of business trip, and are incredibly glad we did. Booking was easy and quick. We arrived in the evening and were given a tour of the gorgeous property and allowed to choose from a suite of bathrooms. Our room (903) was really stylish and funky, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. But I'd say the real highlight was hitting the hot tub that night. It was a chilly night, but the water was very hot, and just sooo soothing and fun. We stayed out for ages. And then in the morning breakfast was huge, decadent, and amazing. We will definitely be back!

Room Tip: 903 wasn't a huge room, but it was plenty for us, and we loved how stylish it was.

I was seeking a romantic inn for a last-minute escape to Burlington to enjoy some hiking, fall foliage, and local seasonal dining. I was lucky enough to find my absolute ideal. Everything about this inn has been thoughtfully curated to create a unique, memorable, and intimate aesthetic experience. Each room, hallway, and nook of this beautiful old house has been creatively repurposed with artwork and eclectic mix of antique and funky modern furnishings that invite you to sit and relax or linger in conversation in spaces that at most inns or hotels would be too exposed, sterile, and public. The widow's walk offers stunning views of the lake. The bathrooms have been furnished with claw foot tubs and black and white tile. Our bedroom was outfitted with a remarkably comfortable bed and bedding, local snacks, and funky furniture--including nightstands fashioned from djembe drums and a small assortment of musical instruments. The parlor has been converted into an art library, its soft lighting and music making it a perfect place for a romantic nightcap. Guests can help themselves to drinks and snacks, utensils, or toiletries that are housed in dining room's beautiful furnishings. The kitchen is stocked with local Vermont coffee, yogurt, cheese, pastries and breads, and organic produce, and prepares a breakfast worthy of a foodie's praise. The innkeeper has not forgone any opportunity to enrich her guests' sensual experience, and her creativity, thoughtfulness, and good taste were evident in every aspect of the space. I plan on staying here again when I return to Burlington, and I give it my highest recommendation.

Our stay at Made Inn Vermont was extraordinary and I wish to share this incredible find with travelers looking for a thoroughly delightful experience for the senses in a hip, gorgeously appointed B&B. The stately home is in a neighborhood walking distance to Church Street and UVM with ample street parking. The moment you enter, the atmosphere is rich with original woodwork, art, and unanticipated delights. Linda, the innkeeper, has a true gift in welcoming guests to her home and fulfilling their needs with her artful decor, thoughtful amenities, and winsome personality. It is an emersion in discovery of texture, color, scent, and design. You are encouraged to engage, explore, relax, restore. Each room is individually appointed, the photos give you a glimpse , inviting you to view more… Her fantastic staff is attentive, friendly and most efficient. Breakfast is superb, Vermont specialties to tempt and taste, prepared deliciously, presented beautifully... a feast not to be missed... also not to be missed is the third floor widow's walk. A great start to the day is a hot cup of your favorite brew overlooking the city's architecture, planning your day... it is equally alluring having one of Vermont's "Brews" as the evening unfolds over Lake Champlain and you decide on one of the many fine restaurants Burlington has to offer. We were looking for Italian , Linda suggested , and we tried, The Three Tomatoes for pasta, pizza, salads, fun... perfect, and Trattoria Delia, for sublime food and atmosphere. Truly wonderful…the staff, both wait and management, was most accommodating, can’t wait to return. Also not to be forgotten are two resident cats, Cutie Kitty and Casey Boy, both awesome ...Cutie Kitty snuggled , sharing her warmth and comfort with my UVM freshman daughter ,as our trip was winding down and it was time to go. So much more to mention, but you'll have to book it and discover for yourself.

Made Inn Vermont was the perfect spot for a wonderful weekend getaway. Linda and her staff made us incredibly comfortable and she had every detail attended to. Burlington is known for their food, but you don't get much better than the breakfast served here. We will for sure be back!

We don't have much experience with B&Bs - maybe four or five by now. Made Inn Vermont was very well appointed. Happily not a frilly, flowery, doily place. Took one of their recommendations on dinner - enjoyed it. We spent more time than we planned sitting in the parlor reading different design magazines, etc. Bedroom was well designed. One small wall is coated in blackboard paint so we drew our fresh gladiolas on the wall. Fun clawfoot tub with a wrap around drape enclosure in the bath. Everything is fresh and very clean. We absolutely loved the Belvedere or cupola on top! Great view of Lake Champlain. We sat up there and had coffee and wished we had one at home. Breakfast was wonderful, more than we should or could eat. Good flavors. Best for last: the hostess and her friends. Quick witted, light-hearted and a little irreverent.

Room Tip: We stayed in 903 and it was perfect for the two of us. It's a compact room and a full bed. Very...
