If you visit Burlington this is a must do. Hope you get to see the salt water the way we did on our trip. Places to eat and shop. Right beside the city.

This pleasant area off the beaten path is lined with interesting artworks like an impressionistic mural, a mermaid sculpted on a boulder and colorful paintings on stone slabs propped up on trees. It also has plenty of benches to sit on to enjoy the view of Lake Champlain and watch the bicyclists go by.

This pier is just a bit south along Lake Champlain from the main park. It's the pier for the ferry over to Port Henry on the NY side of the lake. There is a park with a children's playground, and two restaurants, one new one right on the dock which is very crowded.

Year round this is a beautiful spot. In the summer it's full of boats. In the winter - when it's a cold one - you can walk out on the ice. Not this year. But it's still beautiful. There are benches to sit and walk ways around it. The Lois McLure - an old ship - is docked there and you can tour it in the warmer months. So peaceful hearing the water lap against the shore and the seagulls. Great view of the Adirondack Mountains in NY across the lake.

Burlington Vermont is the largest city in Vermont. But walking to the pier gives you peace and quite. It was nice to get away from the early morning traffic and especially the exhaust.

Beautiful views! Bring your loved one(s) and a camera! Unique carved rocks along the coastline. Treehouse that is handicap accessible. Very cool.

get a picnic basket with some eats and wine (in a box) bring a blanket to sit on and have your significant other with you than relax and wait for the sun to set... with the water in front of you you'll love the view over the majestic Adirondack mtns. I miss this spot.

We didn't spend a lot of time here but it was right on the water obviously with plenty of boaters and bikers. It also would be a great place to watch the sun set.

We came here specially for the glorious sunset. In late May it was a tad windy and on the cool side- if you bring a blanket you can snuggle with your honey behind the rock wall or on one of the benches. We were not disappointed with the quiet view.
