This place is fun for a family. It is small, but has enough to keep the kids occupied and entertained for a few hours. It is right on the water of Lake Champlain so it is very pretty!

We went to the museum after a week of lake activities, and it was a great way to spend 3 hours. My 10 year old found everything fascinating, and the hands-on activities kept him entertained for a long time. We are looking forward to returning in the future with all three of our kids. I know that the 6 year old with love it and the 12 year old will undoubtedly have fun as well. Each exhibit had something to offer adults and kids of all ages. Definitely worth the visit and the price!

The aquarium exhibits mainly indigenous fish, frogs, and turtles. Small exhibit that took under a hour to tour. For the cost of $38 for 2 adults and 1 child, a little pricey for what it was. A one room dinosaur exhibit. I think money would be better spent at a local restaurant enjoying the great restaurants Burlington has to offer. Perhaps leave the "aquariums" to the big cities.

This museum focuses on the natural history of the lake champlain region. it has high quality interactive exhibits, lots of local wildlife to view, informative demonstrations, and very visually interesting displays. My 11 year old son spent hours in the museum captivated by hands-on activities even though the museum isn't very large. I definitely recommend taking the afternoon for a visit to this waterfront facility if you are in town.

Dear Krubin,

Thanks for the fantastic review of ECHO! We are delighted when guests enjoy every nook and cranny of ECHO and it seems that is exactly what you and your son did on your recent visit here. We hope you both learned a bit about the Lake Champlain Basin and can take some of these lesson home to your own watershed and make a difference. All it takes is one drop. :)

Come back and visit real soon!

We had a fun visit here. Our 3 and 5 year olds had a good time. I enjoyed the visit as well. There were lots of interesting attractions about the local ecology and many live local fish and amphibians. The small cafe inside had a good healthy menu that included wraps , salads, and some home made mac and cheese.

Thanks for the terrific review! We are so glad you and your children enjoyed ECHO yesterday. Wasn't it amazing how the day "started" as spring and "ended" as summer? It was nice and comfy in ECHO though. Glad you enjoyed the delicious food too....all made locally from locally sourced producers.
