We use pesticide-free, non-GMO whole grains stone-milled on-site in nearly all of our baked goods, each crafted by hand. We’re locally owned and community focused, sourcing many of our ingredients directly from Vermont and New England farmers. Join us for breakfast and lunch to enjoy a sandwich, panini, salad, or soup. Our freshly roasted and brewed coffee is by La Colombe. Slices of our freshly-baked warm bread always served for free.

The bread is always great and fresh. The menu changes each day on the bread and sweets but the lunch menu is set. Some unusual breads and the ability to taste them before buying a loaf is really a bonus.

Went in mid afternoon for a dessert. Greeted by friendly girl who quickly offered me choices of appealing slices of bread. I chose pecan & sour cream bread. It was delicious! Then we had a warmed up gigantic cinnamon roll to share. Outstanding!

We were heading to the Lake Champlain to have a picnic and stopped at Great Harvest Bread Company for our food and drink. The sandwich choices will meet anyone's tastes...we all chose different types of sandwiches and we all found them delicious!!! The cheese and toppings assure that they have an endless variety of possible combinations!!! The breads...as you would expect...were especially good.

They also offer a large number of dessert items...many disguised as sweets that appear to be good for you.

Needless to say, we can recommend that if you are in Burlington...or passing by on the Interstate...and have a desire to go down to Lake Champlain for a nice break from the fast pace to have a picnic...by all means stop here for your picnic supplies!!!

So are you laughing at that statement. Well walk in and smell the air. Try not to smile and salivate! Then sample the breads of the day. No,not a tiny piece of bread on a toothpick, but a large slice! Do you want some butter on it? There it is slather away! Gluten free? They have that too.

We tried three different breads and bought two. When we got back to our hotel we devoured the cinnamon bread loaf in an hour! The next day, the bakery was closed, but we tracked down a loaf at a coop market for our journey home!

One of us tried a BLT Panini and it was also great. We then bought two types of cookies in addition to the breads! The service was friendly and helpful. So here is a tip...tip these hard working staff. A bakery is a tough way to make money. Checkout this labor of love and see if they really make the best bread you ever tried!

Its rare when you find a place that makes food a passion and also prove they are just great people! The current Owners, Ethan and Sara, are just wonderful, genuine individuals, which must be infectious because their staff prove the same. The breads, pastry, and salads and sandwiches are just incredible. And everyone gets a free sample when you walk in.
Truly a must stop in the area, and take some bread home.
