Had three great experiences at Church and Main. Unfortunately I don't have the first bartenders name, but he sure could pour a mean Jameson, neat and rock the old school hip-hop late night. On our second visit Sam and Rose took care of us and did a stellar job bar tending. Any SAS agent on assignment would be more that satisfied with a stop in here. Their specialty concoctions are delicious and well worth the price and more. The fresh ingredients and superb preparation make each one we tried better than the last. The Budding Romance was a true romantic meeting and the champagne floater adds a sparkle to the cocktail and your date as any double 0 agent knows. How could you come here and not try the Maple Manhattan, it is Vermont. The maple bitters and sweet figs add such depth to the whiskey that all you can say is another please, but to many and you'll be sleeping on the church street rocks or fall victim to a SPECTRE agent! For a A+ visit to Church and Main a must try summer cocktail is the, you guessed it, A+. The strawberry puree and smooth refreshing flavor is just what Bond would order his lady to stay fresh and relaxed on those hot summer days on the lake. If you are only here once and for one drink then there is a MUST TRY 007 approved, the Rhubarb Gimlet. What gin and egg whites not for this spy, say it isn't so, but to the contrary this cocktail is so exquisitely put together that you will think that you are drinking ambrosia nectar. Coming from a gin adversary is more than a lot, but the orange and citrus with the honey and lightness of the egg just let a very subtle hint of gin come through, give it a try you only live twice. Talk to Sam about 007 and he might even make you a Vesper...

The dining room and bar are comfortably integrated providing for easy conversation, interesting decor, and an overall pleasant environment. They combine rustic and formal in a nice way with exposed, original brick walls and new drywall and woodwork. The original stained glass windows hanging above the bar are a nice homage to the history of the space.

Our service, from Matthew, was exceptional. He made us feel like we were guests welcomed into his home. He was attentive without being overbearing, giving us both suggestions on food and wine but also giving us space to discuss and make our own decisions; a perfect combination.

The food (Salmon, Chicken, and Filet entrees) was all delicious and no plate went back to the kitchen with a scrap left on it. The portions are perfectly sized, providing enough food to fill you up without leaving you stuffed. I'd like to see more restaurants take this approach to portion size.

The wine recommendation was OK - the bottle was good, but not as bold as we had originally requested. Matthew offered to take the bottle back, but I couldn't send back a perfectly good bottle of wine. Having mentioned that it was not as bold as expected, he ended up bringing two small pours of other wines to sample - a very nice touch.

I'm already looking forward to our next meal here. It's definitely recommended if you're in the area and looking for a nice meal.

The atmosphere was a little more parents-visit than some other places in town, but excellent food and wonderful cocktails.

My husband drove us to Burlington VT for my 31st birthday celebrations and I celebrated my birthday dinner at Church & Main. Getting reservations on Open Table was easy. The ambiance was sophisticated but still lively. The other guests were obviously in a fantastic mood and very friendly! Our wait staff and servers were super friendly and attentive. We have a rambunctious 2 year old who was treated exceptionally well for a restaurant of this class. The food- taste and presentation was excellent. We had a wonderful time and would heartily recommend it to anyone visiting Burlington VT :)
