A true local favorite, located in a bright and open renovated industrial garage. A very Vermont experience with fresh and delicious food served by a friendly staff. Everything is made from scratch! Croissants, scones, muffins, Koiugn Amann, healthy soups and salads.

“If you love bread/flatbreads, you've found heaven on earth”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 25, 2011

Outstanding breads, pastries and pizza made from the best ingredients. Really fun, relaxed atmosphere with very high ceilings and full view into baking area. They also have a great sense for combining breads into dishes, ie, lunch, snacks and desserts. A staple of the Burlington food scene.

“I visit at least once a week for the best soups in town”

I'm a big fan of the soup/half sandwich combo. The food here is terrific and the soups are always fantastic, fresh, made in house.

“What a Gem!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 11, 2010

We happened upon this place on a Friday evening -- the only night it is open (it's open only for breakfast and lunch on other days). On Fridays, it's all you can eat flatbread pizza and salad for $12. You never know what kind of pizza will come out next -- everything from pepperoni, plain cheese, veggie combos and even chocolate pizza. You must get there early on Fridays if you want a seat! The breads and cookies are also excellent. The only caution -- do not order their wine. They offer only one type of white and one type of red wine in single portion bottles and it's really lousy wine. Everything else about this place is outstanding.

“You'll never get tired of this place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 27, 2010

This cafe and bakery is a must-visit for breakfast, lunch, or a cappuccino break. The space is just great, with a double-height ceiling and garage doors that they open on warm days, and the vibe is too. The menu has something for everyone (including vegetarians). Lunch options include sandwiches, soups and salads. They bake excellent organic bread, pastries full of flavor and not killer sweet, and THE best brownies in town. And on Friday nights they do a scrumptious all-you-can eat flatbread ... you have to get there promptly for that, 'cause it's popular.
