“Great Customer Service and good lake views”
Reviewed October 13, 2013

The hotel is in a lovely location, overlooking the Lake Chaplain. It is in the centre of Burlington, great for exploring and easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants. There is a large parking garage at the rear of the hotel. We had a nice clean room with great views of the lake. We had a slight problem with the room, our safe had no lock and the smoke alarm was bleeping, but the maintenance guy was very friendly and was very quick to respond and resolve both issues. We were surprised when we returned to the room that the Hotel had left a note and some fruit apologising for the problems encountered! Great customer service! Had a great stay and good nights’ sleep.

We booked two rooms for a family weekend to visit our son in college. We we reserved two adjoining rooms with a lake view and were given two rooms 30 rooms apart facing the parking lot. One room was next to the elevator the other smelled of smoke. We complained and were given two rooms on second floor (once again one smelled of smoke) and no apology for the inconvenience. The hotel staff are young and inexperienced. The hotel is a two star place at best. Towels are like sand paper, not clean and very noisy. Would really suggest you look elsewhere if staying in Burlington I am a Hilton honors member and it made no difference.

I am sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your room locations. Typically our guests find the views from our location outstanding. I will look into what was causing the smoke smell. We are proud to be 100% smoke free and this should not be an issue.

This Hilton was not up to the usual Hilton standards. The room was nicely appointed and the size was okay. The bathroom/sink/closet area was quite small & awkwardly placed. I was amazed to find that you had to pay for WIFI. You could "purchase" 1 hr, several hrs or a 24 hr time period. The entire hotel had no hot water for a day. There was no offer of a discount due to this inconvenience. Additionally, you had to park in a designated area of the attached parking garage (for a fee, of course). Unfortunately, a large area of this space was covered in standing water from rain. The distance from the lobby to the parking garage was fine for our party, but might have been a problem for someone with a disability. Overall, I probably wouldn't stay here again -- not enough benefits for the price.

Room Tip: Lake view rooms have limited view of lake -- certainly not worth the price.

Wonderful views. Get a corner room facing Lake Champlain if possible. Large wall width windows provide amazing sunset views. Restaurant and Bar were very well staffed and the food was amazing. The hotel staff even provided complimentary umbrellas one day while it was raining. Everything is just a short walk away. One thing to keep in mind if parking a vehicle is that the city owned parking garage that the hotel uses is very poorly lit and the signage is sparse. It is separate from the hotel, but attached by a walkway. Kind of confusing at first.

I had stayed at this hotel many moons ago when it was the Radisson. It was really nice back then and I've always wanted to go back. We reserved a handicapped room with lake view. I was hoping for a slightly early checkin but instead we had to wait an extra half hour. The room was clean and the view was spectacular. Both queen beds had plain white comforters which gave the room the feel of a hospital room. There were two chairs in the room, neither of which was comfortable. The bathroom toilet didn't flush properly, even after the maintanence man came. It worked about every other flush. I'd say that the room wasn't worth the money. All of the staff seemed very friendly. I can't speak to the food because all we had there was a pizza. There isn't any valet parking and there is a $10 per day fee to park in the city parking garage. The location is excellent right downtown. The pool and hot tub area is very nice and is open any time with your key card. I was a bit disappointed overall

Room Tip: lake view is worth the extra money.

dated hotel but nice rooms expensive for a view of a parking deck 18 dollar breakfast expensive internet...most hotels it's free very disappointed about my choice in a hotel, we were on a New England trip and stayed in mostly Hampton Inn hotels and they were all great with Free breakfast and Free internet and I slept fine. Thought I would splurge a little and it bit me in the rear, never again

I think overall the room was good as was service. The room was very clean. The breakfast was great! I think in this day and age being charged for Internet in the room is poor practice. The ten dollar parking fee should be disclosed up front. Other than above mentioned we were pretty happy with our stay and would probably stay again.
The main thing that would make me think twice about staying is the Internet charge.
