We stayed for the first night of a short trip to New England / Canada. This is a beautiful old house, exceptionally clean and comfortable. The hosts were very friendly but not intrusively so. The recommendation for dinner was spot on.
We walked around the garden before leaving and wished we were there for longer. If, or rather when, we are next in Vermont we will definitely try to stay here again. You won't regret booking here.

Spent two nights at this charming B&B. Found the inn beautiful, the hosts cheerful and attentive. Everything was immaculate; the breakfasts were unique and delicious, and the gardens in the back (which also lead to a state forest preserve with miles of hiking trails) were beautifully maintained. We sat on the side deck in the evening reading books, and felt like we were in another world!

Room Tip: There are only three rooms in the inn plus a suite (which we did not see). All are excellent. No tra...

We stayed in this lovely, traditional B and B for a couple of nights. The rooms are very comfortable and the gardens beautiful. Situated about 1 mile out of town this is a peaceful retreat. The main East-West road runs outside the hotel but there is no traffic at all when it matters. Very quiet, very friendly and very professional. We are definitely going back.

Lynn and her husband run the perfect B&B : beautiful and immaculate house and gardens, great food and a warm and friendly host. We had a lovely few days and will definitely stay here again when we return to Brattlebro. Highly recommended

Host Lynn and her husband were kind and thoughtful and Lynn is a great cook, breakfast was a treat each morning. The sole flaw was that it was not possible to have fresh air in our room (why else would we be in Vermont?) due to our hosts' misimpression that the window AC units were actually pulling in fresh air. Lynn's husband was a bit grumpy about it at first, but he later apologized most kindly and, to their credit, they bent over backwards to try to rectify the situation (the non-AC window would simply NOT be opened due, apparently, to a recent paint job). I am sure they will have things right for our next visit. Maybe they'll even move the AC unit to the front window, where the main street noise is, and allow the non-street-facing window to be opened instead!

Room Tip: Maybe avoid the room at the front of the House due to street noise (although there was NO noise at a...

My wife and I stayed at Crosby House this weekend with some friends during a trip to Southern Vermont and were more than satisfied with our visit. The house and grounds are gorgeous; Lynn and Richard made everyone feel at home right away and provided great breakfasts. (Having coffee brought to the room shortly before breakfast made me consider moving in.) The location is great; easy to find right off of route 9, and a nice short walk to Main Street. Really, nothing at all to complain about.

Room Tip: We stayed in the room called "Winifred's Summer Retreat". Quiet, very well kept, and e...

Lynn and Richard are superb hosts. Long may they reign! The house is cool and comfortable; breakfast is especially delicious; the cultivated grounds in the back are delightful. I like the Rose Room and the Suite equally.

Room Tip: I've had the Rose Room and the Suite. Both are tops!
