The inn is beautifully decorated and nicely done. The grounds are beautifully kept.

There is lovely art and pottery on the property.

The breakfast was a creation. The in house Chef, John, did an amazing job.

We stayed with Cindy and John at their inn in Brattleboro while attending a wedding. The Inn is extremely comfortable and well appointed. Cindy and John made us very welcome and their breakfast choices were amazing.

The Inn on Putney Road ranks among the top 10 small inns in America, in this reviewer's opinion. The inn itself is a beautiful, early-twentieth-century house modeled after a French chateau. We stayed in the Hummingbird Room, located in the former carriage house. The room itself was charming, with an extremely comfortable bed, and a spacious and sparkling bathroom. A basketful of snacks was on one of the dressers upon arrival. Although located on a main road leading into Brattleboro from the north, the entire inn was quiet and peaceful. The owners, Cindy and John, are among the most gracious and welcoming hosts anywhere. John whips up sumptuous breakfasts every morning, thoughtfully alternating between sweet and savory each day. The innkeepers have hundreds of DVDs in their library, which are available for guests to enjoy in their rooms. Best of all, the inn is only a few minutes' drive into the heart of Brattleboro where some of Vermont's finer restaurants are located.

Room tip: For ease of coming and going, choose either of the two rooms located in the carriage house.

John and Cindy were wonderful hosts! Made us feel like true guests in their home. The accommodations were way above average and super comfortable. A real New England experience. From the charm of the old home to the beautiful gardens and grounds, everything was very well kept. Johns breakfasts were absolutely delicious, prepared and served by Cindy with every attention to detail. Whenever we’re back in Brattleboro it will be the first choice for our stay.

Thanks John and Cindy!!

Thank you so much for your kind words. We really enjoy sharing our home and gardens with our guests! Summer time, with all of the colorful flowers is the best time to enjoy roses, peonies, hibiscus, Hydrangea, and dozens and dozens of other specimens in our gardens. With Autumn coming, the whole picture changes with the trees in full color, and our majestic Japanese Maple towering over the grounds. We look forward to having you back again before too long! Thanks again!
