“Finger-lickin' good BBQ!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 28, 2008

This restaurant was listed in Rachel Ray's Places NOT to miss while in Brattleboro, and I have to say I wholeheartedly agree!! Easy to get to from Rt. 91, the ribs were "finger-lickin'" good!! Clean bathrooms, family friendly, great service & great outdoor dining!! They even make their own rootbeer! On our way to Jay Peak next year, this will definitely be our lunch stop!!

“Wonderful Food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 23, 2008

The Top of the Hill Grill is a favorite for many locals. Good food and atmosphere. They have a huge menu. Try the pulled pork sandwich... it's the best I've had. The food is a little pricey but definitely worth it.

“Greatt BBQ in Vermont?”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 27, 2008

There are a lot of places that do bbq in New England, but few worth a trip. This one is worth the trip.
I love bbq. This place has great bbq in an interesting setting. It is mostly outdoors. There is a view of the Connecticut river and an indoor place where you can sit in bad weather. You order from a little hut. You can get just meat, ribs, pulled pork, brisket or chicken, or a plate, which comes with coleslaw, baked beans and corn bread. I always get the ribs. My wife always gets the white meat chicken. They are both great.
The food takes a while to arrive but it is worth the wait. The ribs are delicious, the beans out of sight. The corn bread might be from a mix : (. It is worth getting a chipotle brownie for dessert. Chocolaty, slightly gooey and with a gentle pepper bite.
The place is easy to miss, it is on the right as you come in to Brattleboro on Putney Rd., Just before the Bridge.
