The BBQ at Top of the Hill is always a great treat being in an area that is not known for smoked pulled pork, brisket and ribs. I usually go with the pulled pork but this time I decided to try the brisket with the hot BBQ sauce and was pleasantly surprised. The meat had good flavor though not much actually smoke flavor but that was fine. There were both large and small chunks of pork mixed throughout the plate so it was not the typical pork mash you find at some cheap BBQ places. The hot BBQ was great with a good kick but not to the point where it masked the taste of the meat. All of the sides were good with the beans being the standout. My Dad got the rib plate with the same sides and the ribs were a little dry but still very good especially with a little sauce. The real treat came at the end when Jon brought both of us out a free sample of the new house made Andouille sausage which was excellent with excellent flavor and a great casing which provided a perfect "snap" when bit into. Top of the Hill is and will continue to be my go to spot in Brattleboro for food of any kind!
