“Best breakfast in Brattleboro”
Reviewed May 21, 2012

Absolutely go for the food, so yummy, but who doesn't love a restaurant with a ping-pong table!?!?! Such a great place, with great food, and great prices. A must and one of my favorites in Brattleboro!

“Great place for breakfast on a budget”
Reviewed October 10, 2010

Popular with the local student population, you could literally live on a diet of breakfast burritos. Open for breakfast and lunch "all day" until 2:30 PM.

“reason to live”
Reviewed May 17, 2010

The Elliot street cafe is excellent. i live in brattleboro so i am lucky enough to have made many visits there and have tried almost everything on the menu. the cafe being relaxed and vibrant, along with unmatched quality food, you must stop in and try it. they use local fresh ingredients and the food is expertly prepared, and you can tell they are proud of every dish they serve. it feels like my mom just cooked me my fav dish after not seeing her for 10 years. seriously. so much love and real quality. this cafe will become a legend in brattleboro and southern vermont, if its not already.

“What a lovely place for brunch!”
Reviewed April 12, 2010

What a terrific place!
I was in Brattleboro for the weekend and came here for breakfast on Saturday and it was so good I came back on Sunday! There were just so many things on the menu that I wanted to try that I couldn't eat it all in one meal.
I highly recommend the sweet and savory sopes ---- and beautiful too! I also had amazingly delicious flan -- just perfect --- not too sweet --- and with a little bit of ginger on top!
Everything was so nicely arranged --- not only delicious, but nice to look at also.

The salted caramel ice cream was outstanding --- and I am an ice cream expert ---- the combination of sweet and salty was amazing. Dalia, the chef and manger, said that I could eat dessert first --- but I did wait until after I'd eaten some "real food."

The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming --- and the place seems to attract a wide range of people ---- young famlies with children, couples, older folks --- all sorts of people.

If you're in Brattleboro and want somewhere good for breakfast or lunch, I highly recommend it. If you go on the weekend, be prepared to wait a little while, but the ping pong table and book shelf could keep you amused.
