“Can't believe the other reviews were that good.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 28, 2010

Only booked for one night which is good because there is no way I would stay again. On the surface, the room appeared clean but then I dropped something between the bed and nightstand and found dirt, old candy wrappers, and hugh dust bunnies. The bathtub had mold in all the corners and the shower liner was pure mold on the bottom. The corners of the bathroom were filthy. This place needed a real good cleaning, including walls and ceiling. The window was so dirty you could barely see out, but the dead bugs in the window would have gotten in the view anyways. The curtain was moldy with water stains. At least the bed and linens were clean (I stripped the bed and examined the mattress for bed bugs and didn't find any).
The continental breakfast was supposed to last until 11:00am but at 10:15, all that was left was 1 small bagel and 1 plain donut.

I am truly sorry your experience here was less than satisfactory! We strive to ensure every guest room is clean and the breakfast is available in full for every guest. We extended our hours in order to accomodate guests better, and once again I sincerely apologize for your experience. I follow these reviews and use them as a tool to give my staff real life examples in order to assist in property level training. I have addressed your concerns with my employees. Thank you for bringing your experience to my attention, and even though you state you wouldn't stay here again, I would like the opportunity to re-earn your business. Please contact the front desk directly and ask for one of the owners at 802 254 8889 and we will make every effort to remedy the situation. Thank you for your business and your review.

The Super 8 was clean, and comfortable. I was very suprised how good the wireless internet service was, and pleased with the breakfast as well.

This was one of the cheapest places in Brattleboro and I felt it was of good value. Keep in mind this is a budget hotel. While it is a good for the price, it ain't the Ritz and there's a "low rent" feel to it, but a good value low rent. Check-in was smooth. The room, while not quite stylish, it wasn't hideous either. The bed was reasonably comfortable. The room came with some unexpected amenities for a motel, like free internet and shampoo. There was a computer and printer in the lobby that was handy to print out my next day's boarding pass. Breakfast was pretty basic and in a small room, but it was still good to have.

Arrived here a little late and the Car Park was almost full. Very happy though that Management had kept our room even though we had booked on line several months earlier. The reception staff were very friendly.

Our room was clean and the King bed reasonably comfortable and quite OK for a budget motel. The room was at the rear of the building and very quiet, something we requested when booking. It included a micro-fridge; microwave oven; iron and ironing board and large 29" 4x3 older style tube TV which delivered a good picture. The heating was also very effective. Free Wi-Fi worked very well.

Breakfast was basic but the waffle machine was a nice bonus. MacDonalds is right next door for those who want more. The shower over the bath is a bit dated and there was only one comfy chair in the room which makes things tricky if you both want to watch TV. But hey, for the price I have no complaints and would stay here again for one or two nights.

Stayed here one night on a longer trip up to Burlington -- rooms were a great price. The place is a little old, so expect a little rough edge here and there, but nothing that should detract from your stay.

I've heard this place is fabulous compared to the nasty Roadway Inn that's in Brattleboro, so make sure and stay here.

I have to say, though -- the beds were HORRIBLE. Some of the worst I've ever slept on, but maybe those are just the beds in the double rooms. If you want a comfortable bed, get a king size room!

We stayed here for 1 night on our road trip across Vermont. The hotel location is great and easy to find. Near the hotel, there is a McDonald's located next door. In the immediate area, there are grocery stores and restaurants. To get to downtown Brattleboro, you would need to drive about 7 minutes.

The hotel room was standard. There is a hairdryer, toiletries, and an alarm clock. The front desk staff will also give you a wake up call, if requested. Water pressure in the shower was low, but the bathroom was standard. Beds were also standard and comfortable. Pillows were quite worn, though.

Parking is self-park and free.

There is slow computer in the lobby, but you can use it to print travel documents. There is no elevator, so if you have a lot of luggage and are staying on the second floor, be prepared to carry it up yourself.

The front desk staff was courteous and nice and we checked in late, around 10pm.

There is continental breakfast served. It is basic, but there is a waffle maker, so that was nice. No hot entrees, but lots of muffins, bread, cereal, instant oatmeal, juice, milk, coffee, and water.

Overall, this is a good hotel to stay overnight while on a road trip.

The hotel is not very well-maintained and the rooms smelled very bad. It appeared that they were trying to cover up the smell of smoke and the chemical smell was overpowering. The rooms were dark and dingy. The breakfast was typcial Super 8 food (coffee, fruit, danish) which was fine. There are other options in Brattleboro so I would recommend going to one of them.
