I stayed at this little house when I drove to Vermont to visit friends for a few days. And what a surprise. It turns out the entire place was just completely renovated. The bedroom though small, had the feel and luxury of a high end hotel with plush bedding on a most comfortable queen size bed. The on suite bath was decked out in neutral tones with plush towels and a hilarious piece of surprising artwork hung on the ceiling above the toilet alcove. The kitchen, with apple green cupboards had birch tree wall paper, along with new stainless steel appliances. The living room had a large, smart, television, which I could watch from bed if I had been so disposed. There's a small deck off the dining area, which must be lovely in the autumn, and a 3 season porch that received lots of daylight (good for reading and relaxing). And, for me, a bonus was the quiet--no interruptive street noises, yet it was just a 5 minute walk to the downtown where there's a wonderful French restaurant.
The hosts were very helpful and friendly. My comfort and enjoyment seemed very important to them and they welcomed any questions I had. If you want to stay at a place that's more plush than you'd expect from a small cottage in Vermont, this is the place to stay. Perfect for me (travelling alone) or for a romantic get away for two.
