“Charming place to stay and imagine what it was like long ago with the conveniences of today.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 4, 2013

I have never stayed in an old-time hotel before and enjoyed my stay here. It was originally built in the 1700's and was rebuilt since and has the old time charm, together with modern features. Wi-Fi is free, the washrooms are updated, the room was pleasant and clean. The management and staff are first rate. The breakfast was wonderful and made to order. The parking was free and the whole experience was wonderful. It takes you back to an earlier time when going to a hotel was much more a personal experience.

We stayed at the Brandon Inn for two nights in early April, and it was a wonderful experience in all ways. Our room was large, nicely decorated, and very clean. The bathroom was new and the shower top-notch. This historic inn is beautiful and interesting, (loved the elevator!) with several great restaurants and shopping (don't miss the combination antiques/ice cream store next door) just a short walk away. Sarah and Louis were helpful and personable, and went out of their way to make our out-of-season stay pleasant, even providing a special (and delicious) early breakfast. We look forward to a return visit!

When Hurricane Sandy hit in October 2012 and we were without power, my daughter came to NJ from Vermont, picked us up, and drove us to her hometown of Brandon, Vermont. Just that morning, she had booked us a room at the Brandon Inn (where we have stayed a number of times before), for an undetermined number of days. In turned out that our power came back on after 5 days away and we were able to return home after that time. But the comfort we found at the Brandon Inn helped ease a difficult time. My husband has problems walking and there was always staff available to bring him up or down in the elevator. We soaked up the sun in one of the sitting rooms and enjoyed delicious breakfasts, feeling more like we were on vacation, rather than forced out of our home. We'll definitely be back.

Room was spotless and had everything we needed. Outstanding staff provided expert advice from skiing to cuisine. Great location for easy walking to restaurants, shops, and historical sites. Nice deep claw-foot tub for soaking at the end of the day. Perfect set up for weddings and special events. Definitely will come back!

Suzannah, thank you for taking the time to review us! We are so glad you enjoyed the old-fashioned claw-foot tub. We only have 11 of them remaining at The Inn, so be sure to request a bathroom with the claw tub if that is your preference. Nice to know that some of the "historic" features are still appreciated. We hope to see you back again soon.

We stayed at the Brandon Inn for a winter wedding. The Inn was a lovely backdrop for a wedding and the food was excellent. The staff at this historic inn were friendly and helpful upon check-in. Our room was decent, though as other reviewers mentioned, the water pressure was quite low. We stayed in a room in the front of the building on the top floor. Traffic on the street is pretty noisy during the day, but it quieted down by the time we went to bed.

Thank you for taking the time to review The Brandon Inn. We appreciate your comments. Yes, sometimes the street noise can be heard from our front rooms, however, the traffic does diminish greatly after 9:00 p.m. We are also addressing the water pressure concern from some of the rooms. So glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Hope we see you again some time.

Nice old hotel in a small town in west central Vermont. We will stay there again. Staff was very welcoming. They provided lots of advice on things to see & do in the area. Were very willing to work with us on special requests.

Bed was comfy. Bathroom was clean & roomy. Great ambiance. Great breakfast in gorgeous dining room. Wonderfully friendly staff.
Only drawback, no TV's in rooms.
There is a TV room (maybe on each floor...not sure).
Town of Brandon, VT is beautiful.
Visit the shop right next door for a great antique treasure hunt & some delicious ice cream.

Room Tip: We were in a room towards back on 2nd floor & we were very happy there.

Thank you for appreciating our "ambiance"! Yes, we do have comfy beds, clean rooms and a delicious breakfast, however we do not have TVs in the rooms. We do offer FREE Wi-Fi throughout the Inn, and we do have a large screen TV on the main floor, and TV rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Visit the extensive list of events in Brandon at www.brandon.org and perhaps you will not miss the TV?
