Had the burger off the bistro menu. Very good. My wife had the BLT which was excellent. Both come with fries and a great salad. Moderately priced for lunch. Good service and the restaurant was very clean. I recommend this place for a great lunch.

My friend and I came here for a late lunch; I know that some of the reviews expressed a time issue; yes, service wasn't speedy (hence the 4 stars-should be 5 stars considering the food) but this isn't a fast food venue. We opted to eat at a table on the patio. It was a glorious VT day, the waitress was friendly and even though it took some time for the wine she delivered it in two deliciously, iced flutes. I chose the side mesclun salad with the grilled chicken addition-very juicy and tender; my friend had the half panini, a cold cucumber soup (outstanding) and salad. Both portions were amply sized for lunch, absolutely fresh and we devoured every morsel. The bill was very reasonable and we were never rushed. What a wonderfully relaxing repast. Please only choose this restaurant when you have the time-good food should be savored!

Four of us had dinner here Friday,
All four meals, salads, entrees and wine was spot on. The service was as good as the meal!! Seeing the deserts in the case by the entrance enticed us to indulge!! Why did I only give this place 3 put of 5...
NO ESPRESSO...the machine was "broken" and had been for some time!!!! A great meal with outstanding deserts require an espresso or cappuccino !!!
We will return...even if we have to bring our own cafe!!!

Great service, very varied selections of menu items, and wonderful food itself! Try the Goat Cheese Cake Appetizer....scrumptious!

After hiking nearby Mt. Horrid and the Great Cliffs, we went into Brandon looking for something to eat. We knew of Cafe Provence but had never eaten there before and were pleasantly surprised to find it open. From the extensive brunch menu we selected the soup of the day, a wonderful rustic tomato soup and an excellent grass-fed burger. The burger was not huge, so if you are a "no bun" person, this might not be enough food, but it was delicious and cooked perfectly. The staff was very friendly and they were accommodating to our terrier, Agatha, and brought her a bowl of water (we sat outside). Definitely would recommend it and are looking forward to going back there for dinner this fall sometime.
