We ate in Fat Spy after skiing over this past weekend. Our waiter was very nice and good at recommending dishes. The food was average. My ceasar salad with chicken did not have romaine lettuce instead lettuce was more like field greens and the dressing was more like a dijon rather than a traditional ceasar salad. The hamburgers our group ordered were good and the squash ravioli was very good as was the french onion soup. This is a good place to grab a burger and it is reasonably priced considering that it is down the road from Stratton ski resort. The children's dishes were reasonable.

Well, in a nutshell-the hamburger was raw the service horrible and the second night we TRIED to eat there-they said they ran out of food. Stay away-drive the 10 miles to Manchester and have a meal where you won't get ill-like we did.

Our meal was average and the service was not great but we may be tempted to go back for a second try if we are in the area

The steaks are not USDA cuts and the prices are crazy. 47 bucks for a 8 oz filet. I can get a better 12 oz filet in NYC at a number of top steak houses for 38 bucks. This is Gouging at its best.

You can't go wrong dining at The Fat Spy. The selection is modest, but each and every dish is a work of art, in taste and presentation. Prices are very reasonable for such scrumptious fare and generous portions. The tomato soup is incredible, delicately and perfectly spiced with just the right amount of sun-dried tomatoes. Simply cannot ever expect to find an appetizer any more spectacular or tasty than their potato skins, stuffed with pulled pork in BBQ. Sauce, Vermont cheddar, green onions and seasoned sour cream sauce. Steaks are wonderful. The chef is masterful.
