“Another nice stay”
Reviewed January 1, 2013

This is a consistently clean Hampton Inn with good service and a friendly staff. We stayed one evening in route to another location. Breakfast is very busy but well staffed. The hotal is about 45 minutes from the Manchester outlets.

We have stayed at Hampton inns all over the country, and have never been disappointed. This location was no exception. It appears this hotel is relatively new, and we found everything to be in excellent condition. The one minor exception was that the hairdryer in our room was close to needing replacement. It was making strange, loud noises. We found the Wi-Fi in our room to be exceptionally fast. Perhaps this was because the hotel appeared to be almost completely empty, as we were here the week between Christmas and New Year's.

I did a lot of research on Hotels in the Bennington area & concluded the Hampton Inn made the most sense. It was a wonderful hotel property, conveniently located, clean, spacious and courteous staff, I would definitely recommend this hotel to those on business as well as families. Took in the International Festival of trees from around the world at the Bennington Museum. Very nice! The Bennington area has a lot to offer in any season. Great getaway!

Unlike many of the local properties that are overdue for a face lift, I can always count on the Hampton Inn for a fresh and comfortable stay. It has the most convenient location with easy access to the Bennington Overpass (Rt 279) that connects with the NY border, close to 67A if visiting the covered bridge, and Rt 7 or Historic 7A if heading up to Manchester to shop or ski. Rooms were very clean with amenities you would expect including complimentary wi-fi. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Indoor pool and hot tub (though jets weren't very powerful.) Complimentary breakfast in cheery breakfast room offers a variety, but you could do much better for a little $ supporting a local place like Blue Benn Diner or Jensens. Don't forget to ask for VT maple syrup, not to be missed if ordering pancakes or waffles!

There is a Hannaford grocery store should you need some snacks or toiletry items in the connecting parking lot. Also, a Chili's restaurant with great staff and tasty casual food.

We enjoyed the location because of its convenience to the many covered bridges. The bed was good as was breakfast but the rate was higher than most Hampton Inn's we stay in. They had a tour bus staying there taking up much of the room for patrons in the breakfast area but we squeezed our way in. We didn't get a chance to eat at the Publyk House but drove by and it was packed and would suggest giving it a try. It had nice views and the menu sounds good. The accommodations were good but a bit pricey.

My husband and I stayed for a couple of days at this hotel for our anniversary. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. My only suggestion would be to serve higher quality breakfast food. It was quite gross! I grabbed a piece of fruit and headed out in search of something decent.

The front desk was helpful and friendly. However, there was only one person at the desk and many people checking in and needing information. Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was fine, except I would not recommend the gravy that was served with the biscuits. It was very bland. We enjoyed driving around Bennington to see the covered bridges and foilage.
