Description: The Madison family has deep roots in the Bennington, Vermont. As locals growing up and living in the area, the Madison's have deep ties to the community and in the early 1990's the family decided to purchase what was then a burned out storefront in Bennington's historic downtown, and convert it into the area's first brew pub. "My brother Mark was part of the inspiration" says co-owner Mel Madison. "He become passionate about brewing beer as a hobby... And that let us to the idea of starting a brew pub." From those humble beginnings, the brewery has developed six regular brews plus a seasonal brew. To complement the brewing is the lunch and dinner offerings as well as Madison's own home-made chips - a favorite at the bar or anyplace. Now into its second decade of operation, the brew pub has become a Bennington fixture and a favorite amongst the locals. We encourage you to stop in and discover for yourself everything Madison's Brewing Company has to offer!

“Worth a visit.”
Reviewed September 13, 2013 via mobile

We had a great waitress who shared recommendations with us which is something I always appreciate when dining out. The food was good we had meatloaf and fish and chips (the fries are handout fries) which were delicious. They also had sangria on special which was refreshing... We are not beer drinkers, but of course they had plenty of
Beers on tap. Definitely worth a visit!

“Still the same as always”
Reviewed August 29, 2013

A traditional stop is the Madison Brewing Company. Seems to have fresh and inviting food every time. Love their pub food as well as pretty much the entire menu. Staff is always friendly. Don't have a special menu item but the eggplant is one of my favorites.

“Crowded & Noisey -”
Reviewed August 26, 2013

I went here for dinner with a large group (18 People). In spite of having made reservations, they were not ready to accommodate us. The wait-staff was busy and it took numerous requests and our food actually in front of us before we got utensils. There was a group of hikers at the next table who were really smelly. The live music was good. The food was mediocre at best. I would not go here again.

“Not bad for a brew pub ...”
Reviewed August 20, 2013

Busy Saturday, so when we were offered a seat at one of the high tables on the bar side we took it. Hostess didn't tell us it was a 'no wait staff' table, and the bartender hustled right over when we sat down so had no idea until we tried to get another drink.
Decent beer, not great. Good pub food, although they were skimpy with the shrimp (5) on my wife's shrimp salad (it was a menu special).
Would eat there again, but wait for a regular table!
