I wouldn't come to Bennington without a stop at the Potters Yard. Our purchases are always on the the small side relatively speaking; around $100. The dinnerware is gorgeous and very, very pricey. The seconds are reduced by about 30%. The classic 'trigger mug' is comfortable to hold and makes a nice gift for yourself or as a gift for people back home. I'm a slow coffee drinker and really like their tea cups.
Do check out the nice assortments of seconds, it's expansive The serving pieces are also lovely.

There are inexpensive French shea butter soaps which make a nice gift. They have the widest assortments of kitchen towels, nice designs, florals, "funs" and plains. Actually there's much, much more so stop and see for yourself.

You can also stroll in the yard and watch the potters work. It's a wonderful place, even if you're just looking.

We came upon the sign to the pottery and the visit was spontaneous. I loved all the pottery , linens and gifts. SInce we were flying home was unable to buy many items. We were there on a Sunday and had to be back in New York so did not get to take the factory tour. The staff were helpful and friendly.

Bennington Pottery is great place to stop in Bennington. They make high quality pottery that is timeless. My favorite are the trigger mugs that I remember from when I was a child. Brought back great memories.

Loved this place and the connected pottery factory. Prices were reasonable. We walked off with a lovely wallpiece and pretty pottery dinner items.

A very nice story. I thought it was going to be more of a "local" pottery place with "local" artisans work. Nothing happening in the production building other than hosing it out. They do have some really neat, beautiful pieces. It seemed more like production pieces than hand made. I did manage to make a purchase (!)
