“Picture Perfect - Photo Op (But Not Much Else)”
Reviewed January 31, 2012

The church, the white picket fence and the old cemetary are picture perfect, story book, Vermont. Although worth a quick look, there is not much else here. It was beautiful in the winter snow and a great photo op. There were signs in the cemetary pointing to Rober Frost's grave, but not anything explaining why Robert Frost (America's poet) was so famous. I visited on January 29, the anniversary of his death, but there were no flowers / decorations to celebrate this anniversary. Actually more interesting than Frost's grave site were the numberous graves of individuals who fought in the American Revolution. Although many of the headstones were impossible to read, there were several there that included fascinating comments from these long-ago soldiers.

“So Vermont (and so beautiful)”
Reviewed January 26, 2012

Definately go to service if you can. This church is in beautiful shape inside and out and has the pew-boxes that are typical of early America. Robert Frost is buried in the cemetary. The church, the fence, the cemetary are all post-card perfect.

“Don't Miss This Beautiful Church!”
Reviewed October 15, 2011

Visited here while staying in Bennington for a few days. This is a not to be missed attraction. This is now one of my favorite church buildings, just stunning! The church is situated in an old neighborhood of elegant homes. Parking is along the street as there did not appear to be a parking lot. The church can be viewed inside and is absolutely beautiful! I enjoyed seeing the box pews that were a feature of the older churches. The church also has a cemetary which I visited briefly. The headstones are amazingly old, very interesting. While traveling through Vermont recently I noted that this state has exceptionally attractive churches and I believe this is one of the best!

“Beautiful and interesting”
Reviewed July 17, 2011

Very lovely church in lovely setting. Docent was very interesting and the church itself is very beautiful and restful. The attached cemetery has loads of history, too. Lots of Revolutionary War and Civil War soldiers and Robert Frost's grave.
