We went to the top of this Monument which gives you views of several states. They also have a mini museum in the bottom floor. Lady in the elevator is nice and informational.

I visited the Bennington Battle Monument with a friend on a lovely morning in mid September. My friend and I enjoyed the revolutionary war historical artifacts and information as well as the spectacular 360 degree view of the Berkshires, Green Mountains, and the town of Bennington. If you plan to visit the area, this high perspective on it is a must.

The elevator ride to the top provides beautiful views of the beautiful countryside. The small musuem at the base is very interesting. Of special interest was the guest book from the same date one hundred years ago.

A beautiful testament to another time, the Bennington Monument is a gift from our predecessors that we may still enjoy the beauty of their countryside as well as remember those that died for our freedom. A simple quirky museum at the base and rapid elevator ride to the top make for a fun break in a long drive or a nice way to orient yourself to the town and nearby area.
