We LOVED this little bed and breakfast in Bellows Falls, VT. We got in super late because of traffic and the owner, Roger, was so kind and stayed up until nearly 1am to let us in and was totally gracious about it. Our room was comfortable and cozy, with a kitschy electric fireplace and odd little decorative flairs that made us chuckle and feel at home. We loved the eccentricity of it all.
Roger was the friendliest host you could ever hope to meet, and cooked a MEAN breakfast (quiche, homemade parfait, bacon, warm biscuits, potatoes, etc.) and had the cutest little boston terrier, Farley.
The B&B is close to the center of town, and this time of year, it's GORGEOUS. We were up for a wedding and spent a whole day walking around taking pictures. Really breathtaking.
I can't say enough good things about this little inn. They even have an extensive VHS collection for borrowing movies, and popcorn for free! If you want to stay somewhere different, and skip the Holiday Inn (we sure did!) then this is the place for you.
Thank you Roger for being such a wonderful host!
