We arrived at the Harvest Barn Inn and were pleasantly surprised. On arrival we were greeted by Phil and Kathy, the resident innkeepers. After showing us our room which looked out on the Connecticut River, we had some wonderful cookies and coffee which were always available on the buffet. We then met our friends at the Vermont Country Store about an hour away. They followed us back and now there were more cookies, cheese and crackers and a Halladay dip with chips. The rooms although not fancy were comfortable and we felt very much at home. After dinner we came back to be serenaded by John, a day employee of Halladay,, What a nice ending to the day. But the next morning's breakfast was another treat. We would certainly go back again.

This early 20th century home is on a quiet road high above the Connecticut River. The inn keepers were most friendly and helpful and both were excellent chefs. Coffee was always available and there were home baked cookies and cold water with pieces of fruit soaking in it.

Our room was on the ground floor with a small veranda. Delightful to sit out and enjoy the views of the river.

There was a gourmet breakfast with generous servings.

We were scouting wedding locations with our daughter and wanted to try the Harvest Barn Inn. We had a wonderful stay in the Garden Breeze room. The public areas of the Inn are very spacious, bright and comfortable. The friendly Innkeepers, Heather and Dan, prepared a scrumptious breakfast each day. The site offers a great view of the river. Can't wait to see what it looks like the weekend of the wedding in June. We are definitely recommending the Inn to our friends and relatives who are coming to the wedding.

While on a recent business trip to Vermont and New Hampshire, I wanted a place that was conveniently located for my travels. The Harvest Barn Inn was perfect. The inn was very warm with a beautiful view of the river. I stayed in the Birds Nest room which was really charming and comfortable. During my two night stay, I awakened to two scrumptious breakfasts. I would and will stay at Halladay's again.

We stayed at the Halladay Harvest Barn Inn this past November. We are so excited to go back this month to relax and ski at Okemo. The inn is very welcoming and our room was very comfortable. The view of the Connecticut River from the sitting room is fantastic while you eat breakfast. The inn keeper, Gayle, was very hospitable and accommodating. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. She always had a platter of cheese and crackers available when we returned from our day, and her breakfasts were phenomenal. She was knowledgeable about the town and all it had to offer. The town is breathtaking, a walk along the river is sure to please. We particularly enjoyed a local shop that offers plants, cooking classes, and many unique items. We tried a chocolate wine they recommended and we still rave about it today. I absolutely recommend this inn to anyone looking for a relaxing Vermont getaway, it truly is an experience!!

Due to a death in the family, we quite unexpectedly found ourselves requiring a B&B in New Hampshire. I am so happy that we stumbled across Halladay's.

When we checked in, the room originally intended for us had just been painted. As I am prone to migraines, this would obviously not work. We were immediately upgraded, at no extra charge, to the Orchard Suite, a very large room at the back of the house overlooking the back yard and stream for our two night stay.

The meals we were served were delicious and plentiful. You did not find yourself needing more. Dan and Heather are most accomodating and fit this host lifestyle perfectly. Recommendations to local restaurants were offered and ended up allowing us to have what is possibly the most wonderful dinner of our lives at a nearby restaurant called Leslie's.

I would highly recommend this B&B and would definiteiy stay there if we are up in that neck of the woods. Quiet rooms, ample parking, view of the river from your breakfast table, you can't beat that.

Room Tip: If you can, splurge on the extra it costs for the Orchard Suite. You will not be disappointed. Very...

My husband and I stayed at this B&B as it was close to our son who attending college in the area. The inn was charming and comfortable; you could see the detailed thought Heather and Dan put into anticipating guest needs and wants. They offered a mid-winter weekend special which featured a free massage. What a treat on a snowy morning! The breakfasts were delicious!
