Reynold's House is a lovely home with beautiful woodwork, pocket doors, wide hallways. Staying here reminded me of spending the night in my grandmother's house. Warm. comfortable, welcoming. The Innkeeper is a lovely man who will take the time to sit and talk with you, to share a story of his family, and to listen to a story of yours. The bed was comfortable. Our breakfast of eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, cereal, toast & jam was hearty & filling.

We located the Reynold's House through trip advisor and were happy with the choice! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with tea, cookies and a good story by Don, the owner. The architectural details in this roomy house are not to be missed. It was nice to not have a television in the room. However, there is a guest area on the first floor with a large t.v. and comfy seating. Each room is spacious as well as the bathrooms. I recommend room #3 since it is in the back of the house with less street noise. Each room does have an a/c unit and an alarm clock/radio. The "blue collar" breakfast was plentiful...eggs, sausage, toast, fresh fruit, juice, tea/coffee & cereal.

We travelled to Vermont for a new student orientation at Norwich U. We were having trouble finding a decent hotel at a reasonable price when we came upon the Reynolds house. What a gem we found!! Instead of a drab room at some hotel / motel, we enjoyed a large, beautiful and historic home close to everything we needed. The innkeeper, Don, is the icing on the cake. He personally takes care of everything and fixes a delicious New England style breakfast. We imediately felt comfortable and at home. The house and rooms were spotless and well appointed. We will certainly be staying here again as our son progresses through college, and will reccomend it to family as well when they come to visit. Thanks Don for a fantastic first visit to Vermont.

The owner is the plus here. He was friendly and informative and didn't ask for a deposit unlike many places when I booked for 4 of us. The rooms were pretty good, clean and well looked after. The only disppointment was the breakfast which was adequate but nothing special

We visited Montpelier, Vermont from Delaware so that we could attend my brother's graduation. We did not know much about the area, and we selected the Reynolds House after another inn we called was unavailable. I'm very glad we did because it will be our first choice next time.
The Reynolds House's proprietor, Don, is kind and friendly but not imposing. He also cooks a great full breakfast -- eggs, English muffin, chicken sausage -- which is served with fresh fruit, juice, and great coffee. We even met a nice couple of fellow guests from Los Angeles at breakfast. As for the rooms, they were large and well appointed. Ours was upstairs and had beautiful windows, beautiful floors and an amazing fireplace. There was no television in ours, but truthfully, it would have ruined the ambiance. Plus, there is a TV room downstairs.
We really can't say enough good things about our stay. We highly recommend the Reynolds House.

This past weekend my bf and I visited Vermont. We did not make any reservations or plans as we adventured through beautiful Vermont. We then started looking for a place to rest our heads. I always wanted to stay in a bed and breakfast because I never have had the experience before. As we were searching we could not find anything. Luckily a B&B in Waterbury recommended that we give Reynold's House a call. I was like why not. I was a little hesitant to make a reservation at a place that I never seen at all before but decided to go for it.
To our surprise when we arrived we instantly found the place gave you so much ease. When we first walked in the door the owner came and greeted us with a very friendly smile. The room was beautiful and clean as well! We met some very nice people who were staying at the B&B as well. We also had a full breakfast in the morning which was very well done. Thank you again Don for my first great experience at my first Bed and Breakfast.!!
