We just got back from out trip to SLC. Our family loved this hotel! We had a one bedroom king bedroom. The room was large and comfortable. Everything was clean and in good condition. We have a 8 year old so of course we spent lots of time at the pool. I do not know if I would call it a "water park". It has one large slide, a play area for younger kids and a place to play basketball. But with that said it was the best hotel swimming pool we have ever had. We all went down the slide and had a great time. We played basketball against each other and could not stop laughing. It was a great memory. We also needed to catch the train to go down town. We were able to walk to the train station to catch the train. It was so easy. Next time we go to SLC we will stay at this hotel again.

Room Tip: The sign from the "Maverick Center" is real bright. If this bothers you then you might req...

This was a wonderful hotel! Super tasteful and clean.
Great amenities! We reserved the onsite theatre room (free amenity). There are dvds and games and books to borrow. There are free laundry rooms (soap for sale in their tiny store or bring your own). No one was using the laundry when we needed it - there were two washers and two dryers on the second floor laundry by the elevators.
The 2 bedroom king suite was huge! There was a bedroom with two queens, spacious closet, nice restroom, tv etc. Lovely and lots of space! Another bedroom with a king bed and comfy chair and spacious closet and full restroom and tv.
You walk into a main living area with a sofa bed, chair coffee tables and tv with dvd player and a kitchen with a bar and barstools. The kitchen is stocked with dishes and complimentary tea, coffee and bag of popcorn. Then there is a bedroom off to each side of the main living area.
Stone counters, nice colours, good carpet (rare for hotel). This was a great suite!
The complimentary breakfast was the best for one of those breakfast bar setups in a hotel. Instead of just waffles they had waffles plus a berry topping. Instead of just scrambled eggs there were tomato slices, grated cheese, cottage cheese and salsa to go with the eggs. The breads and pastries were nicer than normal. There was a soda machine and a juice machine and coffee etc. There were milks in mini cartons, yogurts... Everything was nicer than a standard offering.
The pool was the reason we booked the hotel. Because it had a water slide. The pool was pretty warm (could have been slightly warmer), the small splash pad area and little slides were cute but very splashy when there were lots of kids playing on it. The slide was cool bc it went outside part of the way. The hot tub was spacious. It seemed like a chlorine pool, or some strong chemical, but it was fine. There was a lifeguard watching the waterslide entrance. They gave wristbands for pool use (online booking we selected the waterpark option). Signs look like the waterslide is only open on Fri-Sun.
Basketball court. Small arcade area and little snack bar.
Nice staff throughout! It felt like they tried to think of everything to make it comfortable and fun - a great little vacation spot.

Room Tip: It was an extra $50 to get the 2 bedroom suite, but well worth it!!!

We chose this Staybridge location for the first night of our first vacation in the Yellowstone and Tetons area. We have stayed at other locations of this chain and were pleased in the past. We were not disappointed this time either. The room was comfortable and we felt right at home. We took the time to use the pool and I was very happy to find the water a comfortable temperature. That doesn't normally happen at hotel pools! These folks were happy to drive us to local restaurants since it is located a little bit out from the city. However, one block away you can board a local train/tram that takes you in to the heart of Salt Lake City! And the convention center is accross the street, making this a great place to stay for conventions. Keep this location in mind when you visit the area!

Room Tip: I would think that all the rooms are fine.

Had concert tickets at the Maverik Center and this hotel is in a perfect location. A few hundred meters to the arena and the TRAX station that will take you right downtown or to the airport. The hotel is extremely clean and well maintained, the staff very friendly, and lots of restaurants nearby. They serve a complimentary breakfast in the morning and have snacks with beer and wine in the evening (Tues-Thurs?). We were a family of five and had the two bedroom suite which was excellent. The property is new and I found all the staff to be extremely helpful, friendly and professional. You wont be disappointed with the hotel or the location.

Room Tip: Two bedroom suite for a large family is perfect.

This was a bad experience and we will not be staying at any more of the staybridge suites.
1. First, when arriving, the girl at the counter was unfriendly and seemed to be in a bad mood.
2. I asked for a non smoking room, but, when we entered, it smelled of smoke.
3. We wanted to check out a movie to watch that night, but, half of the movies were not actually in their sleeves at the counter. If movies are lost (as they stated), you should remove them from the shelf.
4. Breakfast was said to be from the hours of 7:30am to 10:30am. We came down for breakfast at 9:45am to find that most of the food bins were empty, there was no butter for the toast, English muffins or bagels, and the fruit tasted odd. I feel that if you state that breakfast is until 10:30am, then you need to have it fresh and stocked til 10:30am.
5. We couldn't relax in the dining room with screaming babies and children running/crawling around. This may not directly be the fault of the hotel, but maybe some signs posted would help remedy the problem... "For the courtesy of the other guests, if your children are crying, screaming or running around, please take them outside or back to your room, thank you".
6. The hotel Internet code would not allow us to connect to the Internet.
7. Finally, we recieved our bill and noticed we had been misquoted on the price by 40 dollars.

The hotel was very nice and the staff was friendly. The room was quite large and the breakfast was very good. We were attracted to the hotel by the waterpark. The kids and adults had a great time on the slide and in the pool.

We booked this hotel for a quick get away with a friend and our 2 children. The draw was the "water park" the big slide for my 11 year old and the little splashy slide for the 4 year old. the staff was very friendly and nice, our room was clean and breakfast was good but that was about all that was good. The hallways were filthy. The breakfast area smelled awful and the big water slide was not in operation. It was a room to sleep in but my daughter would have liked a regular hotel with a regular pool that was not filled with people. There were about 60 people in the pool area they brought towels a couple times and put out like 8 towels. The next morning we stopped by the pool. It was 10am and there were no towels at all. We will not bother with staying here again.

I am really disappointed to hear that you had such a bad experience. It sounds like we really failed to meet your expectations. I apologize for not living up to your expectations. We always want every guest to have a great stay. I will be discussing the condition of the property with my staff, it is unacceptable to not have a clean hotel. We did have a mechanical problem last weekend with our waterslide, and I sure apologize that our slide quit working while you were staying with us, especially since that was the reason you chose our hotel. If you would like to call my Guest Service Manager David Saarinen at (801) 746-8400, we would love a chance to try and get you to come back to our hotel. Thank you for the honest feedback, we always want to get better. Again, sorry for the poor stay.
