I have no words for how unprofessional and rude the employees/manager behave. Not enough parking, complain about dumpster use after it has been ok'd, complained that we had three adults in a room when we were paying for two beds and a rollaway, just total crap. Our employees are accosted and harrassed daily by a manager who barely speaks English and is very rude and threatening. Sad to see what they have done the the old Split Mountain Motel. What a shame.

I stayed at the hotel between Christmas and New Years for a couple of nights. The room was average, the bathroom was clean as well as the linens. The staff was friendly. There were a few stains on the carpet and desk chair. The fixtures were dated but everything worked fine. They have a free continental breakfast with waffles, bagels, toast, cereal, milk and juice. Nothing fancy, but for $60 a night it’s not a bad place to stay on a hunting trip.

Room Tip: Some rooms are near the highway. It is a little better to have a room located off the road a bit.

We booked a room at this Travelodge for two nights. We arrived late after a long day full of sightseeing in Dinosaur NP. The room was filthy dirty. The towels were in desperate need of replacement and felt like sandpaper. The working table and chair were so dirty, my shirt was stuck to the armrest while sitting there and looking for a different place to stay at. The rates were astronomical even though we were travelling in off-season which was caused by all the workers for the natural gas pipelines built in the area (2011/09) occupying every hotel room in town. The bathroom was not clean and had a bad smell to it. The bedspread and the linen had a lot of cigarette burns and other "interesting" spots on them. One of the two queen beds in the room was not assembled correctly - there were two metal beams sticking out at the bottom posing a serious accident hazard.
People were drinking (in public!), smoking and bbqing in front of their first-floor rooms. The night manager was nice about everything but since everything was booked solid, he couldn't move us to a different room. I found a different place and we left this Travelodge at midnight to drive 145 miles to Park City, UT! This tells you how bad this place actually is!

On first appearance seemed ok however manager couldn't speak to be understood. Towels were clean but had never been bleached so had yellow stains on all of them. We were to check out at 11:am we left at 10 came back at 10:30 andI they had turned off heat put out all new towels and taken all my shoe bags. I went to office and complained he said too bad. He still couldn't speak English . Will never stay again in a hotel where foreign managers can't speak English. What has happened to American pride?

Family had two rooms here for two nights. Very friendly welcome, rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was in a very nice room away from lobby. The "make-yourself" Belgian waffles rounded out a good selection of breakfast cereals and pastries. Location was convenient and staff was very helpful in sending us to a nearby restaurant for good evening meals.
