After visiting Bryce Canyon and staying in nearby Cannonville, we inquired with our hotel about a good place to eat and they recommended Clarke's. We arrived a little after 8pm and there was a line of at least 10 people waiting for tables. The Clarke's complex consisted of a gas station/full service grocery store and an old candy store (some of the candy I had not seen since I was a kid). Definitely the busiest place in town. We were seated after about 20 minutes and our waitress (Carla) was a sweet lady and apologized for our wait. She gave us suggestions from the menu and described some of the specialty beers they offered. She constantly checked in with us during our meal and had conversations with us even though the place was very busy.
We ordered steak and country fried chicken. The dishes with accompanying veggies were very good. The atmosphere was very relaxing.
We also noticed people showing up at closing time (9pm) and the restaurant made every effort to accommodate these people at least with to go orders.
Certainly worth the trip to town.
