Best Place to Stay Near Bryce!

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Dec 22, 2019
We just checked out today and I am already missing our cabin at Stone Canyon Inn. My husband and I travel frequently all over the U.S. and globally. Our beautiful cabin here was our favorite place we’ve stayed all year—as well as the cleanest and most cozy and comfortable. We stayed in a cabin with its own private hot tub and every night after hiking Bryce we soaked and watched the stars for over an hour (and the stargazing here is phenomenal due to low light pollution). We had all the amenities we needed and were constantly mesmerized by the beautiful views out every single window. An adorable little deer visited outside our window most days. We loved it here so much that we extended our stay for a 3rd night, and I wish we would have stayed even longer. We are already planning our next visit! Thank you so much for your hospitality and for creating such a lovely place for travelers! ❤️

The owner / operator of this inn is very friendly and goes the extra mile to help customers new to this location which is a little distance away from Bryce Canyon National Park. Location separates this place from tourist traps on the way into Bryce. Hotels and or establishments on 63 on the way into Bryce seem ok, but the road is overrun with all types and kinds of classic tourist trap types of businesses that may appeal to families with kids. We'd recommend giving the Stone Canyon Inn a try. It's new, clean, quiet, and charming. You'll like the owner too!

Room tip: Call the owner and she'll give you a recommendation that fits your needs.

Room was great, clean and modern. Setting is remote and feels like being in the frontier. Views were stunning. Restaurant is closed in winter and there's not much in Tropic to eat. Still we would go again.

Room tip: Review options online to chose.

We just checked out of the hotel and April, the owner, couldn’t have been nicer with great customer service. The hotel is in a cute little town with surprisingly good restaurants. Very convenient to Bryce Canyon. We had a beautiful fireplace in the room. The amenities in the room were very nice. Thank you April.

We loved our two-night stay at Stone Canyon Inn. We stayed in a “treehouse,” with lodging up
top and a fire pit with swinging chairs below. Gorgeous unobstructed views from all directions, including red rocks and glorious stars. Rustic but wonderful. The on-site restaurant was delicious.

We only stayed one night and since we wanted to see the sunrise over the hoodoos in Bryce Canyon we were not there but about 12 hours. When they say check in is at 3:00PM they mean 3:00PM and not before. We stopped by to get a restaurant recommendation for lunch and the door was locked and no one was there about 2:00.

The tree house was so cute and we loved the fire pit and enjoyed sitting and watching the sun set from there. You have a wonderful unobstructed view from your deck or the fire pit.

Keep in mind this is a tree house and while the bathroom fixtures were lovely there is no bathroom counter space. But you would expect that for a tree house.

There is a small kitchen area with small table and chairs on the deck for eating.

This was a very nice stay and we would do it again even those it was the most expense night of all our stays on this trip.

The drive to Bryce Canyon entrance took about 20 minutes.

Room tip: Treehouses are relatively new and a good choice.
