Buffalo Sage Bed & Breakfast

David and Alice have a wonderful B+B that we would recommend to everyone! Excellent accommodations, great location, wonderful breakfast.
We picked Buffalo Sage by simply searching the Internet as we planned a 35th anniversary trip through the canyons on a motorcycle. We knew nothing about Alice and David or their wonderful spot. A 20 minute drive to Bryce Canyon, Buffalo Sage is perfect if you are looking for comfort, privacy and great hosts.

Room Tip: Call Alice.

David and Alice made our entire trip worthwhile. A+. The vista you see out your bedroom door is fabulous and the proximity to the parks is close by; the drive in any direction is spectacular. Our stay there was completely enjoyable. The breakfast was large and wonderful and conversation with David and Alice is educational...on any subject. They are a hard working pair, especially when you recognize they have a 300 mile round trip to St. George when they pick up supplies. The appearance is rustic but the rooms are large, clean and southwestern in style. We would recommend this stop to absolutely anyone. In fact we suggested to Alice and David we swap houses if ever they want to get away! Don't miss it.

David and Alice were wonderful hosts to us when one of our party took ill and ended up in the hospital. They could not have been more helpful, compassionate and understanding of our ever changing plans. The rooms are lovely and having a great deck to sit on at night and enjoy the stars was wonderful. Thanks again to our great hosts. By the way, the breakfasts are delicious and will fill you up until dinner.

Room Tip: We liked the upstairs rooms with the deck.

This was a perfect place to stay for our Bryce Canyon hiking trip. Alice & David were wonderful hosts and the breakfasts were outstanding. Plenty of food to give us energy for a day of hiking. They are located a few miles from Bryce Canyon, which was perfect, as we wanted to get away from all the tour buses/groups that stay in the hotels next to Bryce. Our room was large with a king size bed and great reading lamps. Wish it had been clear the nights we were there, as the view of the stars at night would have been spectacular.

Great location close to Bryce Canyon. Very nice, clean room with a great vista. Spotless bathroom. very good breakfast served by 2 great hosts, Alice and David. They made us feel like we were at home. Price was reasonable as well. We'd go back there in a heartbeat! Roger & Elaine from Arizona.

Just like visiting friends--nice rooms, wonderful breakfast at a shared table in the morning, and the dog at your feet! Isolated but convenient to Bryce Canyon. Only drawback was the lack of restaurants in Tropic...

Room Tip: can't go wrong here--all rooms would have a great view

You couldn't ask for a better location for your visit to Bryce National Park. This homey B & B is located about 7 miles from the park and is convenient to good restaurants. We arrived about one hour early and were able to check-in for our three night stay. Our room size was adquate and the bedding was comfortable. We were traveling with another couple and chose rooms off the patio. The view was magnificent! The breakfast was good, I don't eat eggs, but there was always plenty to eat, even sharing the eggs with my husband.

If you are the type of person, that likes a place for everything, and everything in it's place, this may not be the place for you. The common area doubles as there living room and is full of stacks of books. We like animals and told Alice not to pen the dog or cats during our visit. However, if you don't care for pets, you won't see them during your visit. There was some dust on the rungs of the rocking chair and stand that holds a saddle in our room. However, there are some extraordinary circumstances with the host that may have contributed to this, and it may not be the norm. Our towels were not changed after the first night, but were after the second night.

We enjoyed our visit and didn't let things like a little dust get is our way of having a great time. The price is very reasonable, especially if you pay in cash.
