“A Dream Location”
Reviewed April 29, 2012

We have stayed twice at Pine Shadows Cabins and plan on returning for another stay. The cabins are clean, roomy and well equipped for cooking. The owners have provided little extras to make your stay enjoyable. Plus, they are very friendly and willing to assist you and take care of your needs. The location is peaceful and quiet with great views of rock formations. And best of all you get all of this for a very reasonable price. MLW & CM

We loved the cabin we rented at Pine Shadows! Beautiful location not too far from Torrey and Capitol Reef. The cabins are clean, well-equipped, reasonably priced, and look like they are quite new. Upon our arrival after a long day, we discovered a little barbecue out back, complete with briquettes and starter fuel. Though it was 6 pm on a Sunday, we drove into Torrey and found food for dinner (delicious, fresh ribeye steaks!) at Austin's Chuckwagon General Store. We were so glad we decided to stay at Pine Shadows while visiting Capitol Reef - much better than a hotel room!

We stayed over Easter with three small children. Nights were cold, but we stayed warm inside. Kids had a great time playing around the area and watching the jackrabbits on Easter. Cabin was well stocked and we cooked all our meals there. So much easier not to bring pots and pans. Just needed a better set of knives.

We feel very lucky to have found this place near Capitol Reef. The cabin is in an incredible, remote location. The cabin was clean, and the kitchenette worked great for making meals.

This past Aug. on our way through the back country from the North Rim of the Grand canyon to Park City, Ut., we stopped for the night at Pine Shadows. It was a perfect spot to unwind at the end of a long day of driving through spectacular country. The next morning, we had our coffee on the back porch and enjoyed a beautiful view of the sun rising over Capital Reef. Awesome! My wife and I agreed this was truly a diamond in the rough. After checking out we drove into Torrey and had a great breakfast at the Chuckwagon. The waitress might have been the highlight of the trip. But that' another story.

What a hidden gem in the Capital Reef area. My wife, son and dog had a pleasant time in Teasdale a few weeks ago. Debbie was very prompt in getting back to me via email, when I first contacted her about staying at her cabins. Very polite an accommodating to our needs. The cabins are very clean and spacious--even has a nice heater in the bathroom along with plush towels you find in higher end hotels. Very close to the park, and a great hike just 10 min. away and you're in red rock formations...my son had a blast. Eventhough we had people staying on both sides of house, we hardly heard them, and they both had dogs as well. People seem to respect the serenity and solitude of the area. Kitchen is fully stocked (wine opener/wine glasses/pots/pans), even had ice cubes in a tray for us. Another cool thing, is the 24hour open office where you can grab an array of dvd's,books and maps to enjoy for your pleasure. Definetly, stay here if you want a clean, affortable place and close to the park!

The cabin was spacious and very clean. I found the cabin to be conveniently located for visiting Capitol Reef National Park. My only "issue" was a lack of internet connectivity--although it was probably not the worst thing to get away from the internet for four days! The owners were available to answer any questions. I recommend the Pine Shadow Cabins.
