Owner description: One of the finest displays of Utah art.

Great museum with brilliant art work and shows throughout the year. Their permanent collection includes a wide variety of artists, ranging from well recognized local artists to a wonderful Russian collection. This museum conducts what I would call the premier art salon in the state of Utah every spring, resulting in thousands of submissions, and juried down to a wonderful showcase each April. The Springville Museum of Art is a great museum with something new to look at each time you go.

The art museum is a work of art itself, Spanish tiled floors, and arches, and is a pleasure to walk through. There is also a small lovely garden with sculptures. They have permanent and rotating exhibits, contemporary and classical pieces, so it is worth visiting on a regular basis.

Sometimes I think I enjoy these small gems more than their big city cousins. Certainly there were NO crowds! The indigenous art, plus the interesting collection of Russian paintings in the lovely old building was a nice treat. It is obviously treasured and supported by the community.

This museum is always changing. Sometimes there are quilts or new art exhibits. It is top-notch. What a blessing to have this museum so close to where we live. Have attended several wedding receptions here. The garden is wonderful. I hope my daughter has hers here in another fifteen years.

The museum has changing exhibits and shows. They are interesting and the perminate art is excellant. The hours of open time close at five except Wednesday. This makes it a daytime museum and makes it diffulcult to go to some of the special show, ie quilt show
